In case there are any traditional painters here, I have an art joke of the day: oil hurts oil paint and brushes.
Background: I got suspended on Bob Ross twitch chat for 10m because I was helping out people with oil paint tool suggestions, and the moderator didn't agree with my suggestions (that are used by professionals and universities alike), because apparently "anything but paint thinner hurts oil paints and paint brushes." I suggested two oils specifically formulated for oil painting as a non-toxic alternative to paint thinner and turpentine because those need very good ventilation. When I mentioned ventilation, they were like "get odourless." But just because something doesn't have an odour, doesn't mean it's any less toxic. Onetime I brought in my odourless paint thinner to a class and a rag I never cleaned, and I made the entire class very sick because it does, in fact, have an odour and it does, in fact, have toxic fumes.
Anyway, let's just think about that... Oil paints, which are made from oils and pigments (hence name), are hurt by oil... Yeah. B) So, that's the art joke of the day.
(Fun fact: Bob Ross is very liberal with art tools. One of his quotes is: "you can paint with anything, you could even paint with a mop; it's your choice, you decide.")
