I've got this super simple ad for my Proboards forum - it's in /div format. I would like to post my ad on jcink sites without it looking gross, and I don't know anything about jcink. Can someone help? Here's the ad:

Asher School of the Elements is a boarding school and university for the "gifted" - the secret subset of the population that is capable of controlling one of five elements. Fire, earth, air, water, and electricity. The gift is usually a hereditary one, although occasionally the gifted can pop up in otherwise normal families. Asher itself is a remote city located along the coast of Washington state, populated entirely by the gifted and their families.

at this, the world's end, do we cast off tomorrow~!

the theoretical answer to your problem is to convert it to dohtml, which i've written a tutorial on how to do here.

the practical solution to your problem, however, is to either take a screenshot of the ad and crop it down so you can put in links at the correct places or to code a simpler advertisement using some of the more universal ubbc tags (center, url, and img, all of which work on both jcink and proboards). the reason for this is because the vast majority of jcink sites don't have dohtml enabled for guests and/or in the advertisement boards (because it can be used to hide the entire site or conflict with existing coding in the skin at best and include a malicious or harmful script at worst) - as such, a converted code won't really solve the problem and there's not really another workaround.

but the good news is that in recoding the ad this way, you can make a single version that works for both hosts, so it's not a total loss.

To keep the forum clean and so people know that all threads in certain areas are current and that the OP is likely to still have interest, we archive threads that haven't gotten posts for 2 weeks.
