It's.. exactly what it sounds like. come brag about your rp children, be it anime or rl. I made this thread so I can have an outlet to chaotically rant about what dumpster fires I'm starting. But.. I'm also curious as to what others are up to :eyes:
Ground rules: characters only. dont use this as an outlet to advertise wanted ads, or sites, as there are dedicated sections on the forum for that. pics of Faceclaims would be helpful, but aren't required. Throw shared pics ing spoiler tags to save our fingers from scrolling. same applies to character links. Finally, don't steal other people's ideas, or argue with one another about who's the hotter fate waifu. because fighting is bad.

my girl found a really good ship for her. this is like the most i've ever written with someone in such a short timespan, and i'm really proud of her (and him) for how they bring each other about! she has just been so lonely and so unloved for so long. and now there is someone who not only loves her but sees her, for the kind and thoughtful and extremely stubborn person she is... and she can be herself for him in a way that she is not herself for like literally anyone else. and i just! i love her. i love that she has found a character who she not only improves but also who improves her.
( she is a marvel mutant oc who controls water in its various states and also sometimes also does dreamwalking depending on what verse we're talking about. sometimes she's a daughter of poseidon, sometimes she's hestia, umm,,, she cries a lot. she's useless. but she could also be strong if i let her and she's very protective. and i love her )

Okay so rather than ranting about one of my chaotic characters, I've decided to write my first post about one of my older characters, and a constant placeholder on my insanity that I'm just.. super proud of. Not because she's a good character (Quite average, infact. She's literally a damsel in distress. but more useful. this.. wasn't intentional by any means), but because my consistency with her. I had doubts when I decided to use Noriko Sonozaki from Kiznaivers as an fc, I feared it wouldn't match the appearance of a hexed/cursed human. But after hitting 150 posts, and finishing my first personal story arc with her, I'm just giving this girly a pat on the back for finding her brother all by herself like an independent woman.
Plus, I have horrible consistency playing true beans. I usually play warped ones, or innocent ones with learning gaps but.. I'm just.. super happy with her. I usually like to make my characters disposable, but I pray I don't ever off this sweet baby bean!

I have never devoted myself so hard and so fervently to one character in my life. Send help.
Naturally, I have him maxed out in my Chaldea. Grailed Lv. 100, Skills 10/10/10, NP5 and halfway through Bond 10 to 11 with the new Visionary Flames of Chaldea item that lets you uncap max Bond levels.
I read the Iliad for a literature course back in college (never studied it in high school). I've always thought Achilles was a massive bag of dicks. But he's a fucking bro in Fate/Apocrypha... and he was the first SSR Rider that I pulled, who proceeded to demolish and tank and save my ass in all of the content the game has to offer so far.
The only thing left is to get the last 60 ATK and HP gold Fous on him. Then he will be complete. My perfect Adonis.

Chessa Ohanzee. Originally a fanfic character I wrote when I was 15 (I'm 32 now) the last few years I've been writing and developing my Saiyan babe over a variety of sites. She's come so far, from a pacifist to a Super Saiyan with three kids. She's currently Broly's mate with one specific writer, and we've had a lot of fun seeing them grow together.

With the arrival of Pride Month, I am trying to prepare covers and/or icons in celebration to decorate my characters. c: So since my character, Russel (FC: Adam W. from Voltron) is shipped with someone who uses Shirogane Takashi (clone version) from the same series, I get to crop him this hover: In appreciation for his relationship! It makes me very happy for him since Russel came from a volatile situation where he dated someone who treated him horribly. So it is nice having him paired with somebody who loves and appreciates him. <3 I am hoping to see him recover nicely from his sorrowful circumstances.

While I'm not one to brag bout my characters because I usually lose interest / or forget about them the moment I stop writing them, there's two that have stood out in my entire ten-odd years of being in this hellscape of a community.
Aoife: Personally, whenever I play female characters, they're nice, if not a little bit shy. Very unsure of what they want in life and searching for purpose; a common character arc for all my girls. But one time I wanted to go against the grain of what I do write character-wise and what came to me was Aoife Beauchene, who is probably the embodiment of all my negativity, anger, and chaos in my tiny, light skin body. The first site I made her on was basically post-apocalyptic nonsense w/ powers & memory loss elements and as the character got stronger they would regain their memories. She was a military vet, current FBI agent, and she did all that with animalistic insistence and simply fucking wanting it. She was aggressive with her career, her love life, and just in general very no nonsense about life. Before the end of the world she was due to get married to a man that actually tolerated her very straightforward and instinctive approach on life and loved her for who she was; she had it all in the palm of her hand and now she had nothing. And she was pissed.
It was fun writing a woman that doesn't take any excuses in life or any shit from anyone. Everyone said she was mean, and a bitch and she was probably the least liked character on that shit but I did not care. I loved her character. She was fun, merciless, but introspective and insightful. Her love for violence was her only comfort in a world reformed by magic and blah blah blah. 10/10 will definitely rp her again once I find a site that actually deserves her Godly presence. Never let them see your crown fall queen
Bebe: A little bit more on the nose of what I play, but also different. She was the daughter of Phobos, the Greek God of Fear. Naturally, her powers revolved around fear and making others absolutely terrified of her presence... but in reality she was a insecure nervous wreck who hated herself, her body image, and generally a coward with no backbone to speak of. I remember she got a letter from her dad and he said he hated her and wished she never existed but she was alive and that meant she was meant for greatness with the power he gave her. He told her to take! What she wanted was hers! Embrace the darkness; take, rule, conquer, kill!
It took her a while. A long while, actually, but she started to embrace that darkness around the time the site closed. Eventually all the demigods found out their parents were dead - she was Phobos. And that letter he gave her was proof of that. She realized that she was strong, and that those who had hurt her and made her hate who she was were weak. All she had was hatred, so she decided to give it back tenfold.
Bebe was gonna be 1000% a villain, but then the site closed and I couldn't get my murderous jollies out. Oh well.

I have a thing for Gothic literature and it carries into my rp writing / the characters I choose to write. Mysterious. Cryptic. Vague. Aloof. These are more or less the most common rubrics to caption my usual "type" of character I tend to make. While all of these are fairly accurate and valid, I like to think the muses that stood out the most are the ones that were/are reasonably more nuanced than simply being their initial 'mystique' persona. Following Ecchi's example, I'm going to write a bit of love letter to two of my most 'memorable' characters (because I too have a boomer brain and forget nearly a handful of the characters I've created in my rp career) and explain not just my love for them, but how they've come to influence any new character I may try to create whether directly and/or indirectly. Feiyan Zheng. Her first incarnation was introduced roughly five years ago on an au avatar site, though she wasn't really actualized and fleshed out until much later in 2018, on a lil site called Dethroned Gods. The site centered around a small percentage of hoomans (2,250,000,000 lmao) being spirited away to a realm of real world mythology and fantasy, where characters are awoken and told that they are more than just human, but demi-god. Feiyan was a straightforward, no-nonsense Chinese woman. A bit too pronounced, a bit too raw, the sort of arrogant person who served everyone better when she could be managed or friendly. She also had a very volatile history, starting with the unfortunate deaths of her American-military adoptive parents. Assuming the role of a child assassin she was "bought" by the Triad gang and worked as a mercenary for the vast remaining of her time before the mass Rapture into the realm of mythos began. Upon discovering her Norse parentage she also learned that her biological father was Thor, and all the other god-parents were AWOL. She didn't overmuch care about the whereabouts of the gods, as she was mostly concerned with keeping herself alive. She started as a Nobody and turned into a Nightmare, her journey as a character beginning from solitary soldier to becoming a paradigm of tenacity and the strength in solidarity. She climbed the "power ranks" relatively fast and became one of the more dominant demi-gods with her Thor-touched sonic boom abilities (Think 'One For All'). Her most interesting aspect on the site however were the plots that developed overtime, one of which was a crazy pregnancy plot with the most loose cannon on the site (looking @ u karma lmao). Unfortunately the site closed before I could get any more deep in that plot, but the idea of forcing her to wade unfamiliar maternal waters with no real experience in caring for children (let alone other people lmao) was something I was eager to break her character with. I tried remaking her a couple of times afterwards but honestly? She belongs to that site. Silvestre Scratch. I used to write a lot of male assholes. I had a type. There was one however that has followed me since 2013, and while every iteration of him was named differently with very contrasting backstories he still always had the same whack-y personality. Read as: electro-swinging stage villain always boundary-pushing to reach new heights of Art, cotton-candy nightmares and terrific (in the old sense) glitter-glitz dreams. No matter his iteration I had advertised him as Cinderella’s other Fairy Godmother; the deal-striking, contract-making Big Bad Voodoo Daddy; the dastardly, heavy-lidded Sandman sent to plague the weary soul. He started as a bastard captain of a pirate crew on a medieval site, and on another fantasy site rotated into the big-top circus as the infamous illusionist/ringleader of a "Pied Piper" abduction plot to harvest souls. His recent iteration was on Endorrain, shaped as an eccentric dollmaker (read as: "reborner") who used the mmovrp game as a means to further explore the boundaries of life and death as a necromancer. Silvestre is the pinnacle of my "villain" writing. As in, my villains tend to dip in the realm of the nonsensical/dr seuss verbose of timelessness and blurring of the boundaries between reality and fantasy. I treat him as a vehicle to troll other characters, bothering befriending those who seem quite contrary while he's being very contrary himself. Like a Wild Game of poker, he swings back and forth between Affably Evil and Faux Affably Evil as well as the playful Gadfly and malicious Star-Dazzling Troll. He is a muse who I will never be tired of lmao. TL;DR version: my females be like- meanwhile, my males-

so generally most of my characters are self inserts shifted around to match a setting or idea that im fixed on. which means most of my characters are one-offs, but these two i really liked and would like to explore / use more.
SHINOBI IZA-something, idk i forgot the last name. and she was like this traumatized girl that was highly self destructive. drugs, sex & gambling. she also supported her lil sis through her gambling profits (idk it was weird). it was just a blast to write her even tho i never did get the smut thread or that one heroin scene i wanted ....... she was also the first female character i had since my catfishing days, so it was just real big energy. iirc, i rp'd the mom and that one friend of the family too - peak rp time 4 me
she was like high octane femme fatale thot char and i loved every second of it + iggie & deloris was the trio of the gods. fc was the jabagami chick from kakegurui too shit was peak
then there's MARCEL CHRISTOPHER, who was like originally this street punk that picked up and sent to a school of swordsmanship. he used his ability of sleep walking to become the best pupil of the school, where upon graduating he was sent off to work for the clergy. just a street punk whose ego was inflated by his skill w the sword and thought he was just so above it all. BLESS. also i rocked the rengoku fc and it was really just iconic and STILL IS. and in many ways he was one of my closest self inserts at the time (and prob still is). though i doubt ill ever recapture the magic of that first iteration.

I have really been enjoying watching my character, Laurent, get close with a husky currently! It is sweet and extra fun since the husky character belongs to somebody else since he is a shifter. c: We have this cute plot idea going where they become friends and Laurent helps him out. It always makes me happy thinking about it since Laurent's main personal goal is redeeming himself for the sins he has done. Years ago, he committed aggravated manslaughter when his family was killed, it resulted in him becoming a fallen angel. So it is beautiful to watch him try and redeem himself after what happened. Furthermore, I adore seeing him connect with others because I always find him intriguing to have interact. How he reacts to certain people differs and at times, he surprises me with how social he is with some people, but bias towards others. Another of my boys who have surprised me is Avery, however, for different reasons. While he acts as intended, phlegmatic, introverted and serious, one of my friends has a character that teases him. She is playful and seemingly unaffected by his behaviours and even called him a gentleman! It LOVE their interactions because I get to see how his behaviour can be interpreted differently between people. Similarly, he is somehow managing connections and it is definitely interesting watching him engage with someone who contrasts his serious attitude!

I’m actually surprised that my youngest character on the Pokémon site I’m a part of right now came to life and by the gods I’m loving the development he’s going through!
For the record he’s a very confused child whose hat is currently with Team Rocket, but he acts just like any other sixteen year old would—cause chaos.
He also has a thing for big, strong Pokémon and just goes in, guns blazing, all screaming, pointing at everything he can and trying to prove he can reach for the top!

For the first time in a long time, I made a character in a single day and I love him. Compared to my other children, he is sociable and quite sweet. One of the members adored that he actually called their higher up "Sergeant Cross" rather than using his first name. He came from a sad situation with his grandmother being murdered and him running away because his parents wanted him to be apart of who he considered the bad guys. Now he is a cute little errand boy of the good guys who just want to help others. I adore making wholesome characters like this and already, Eris is quickly climbing the ladder rungs of being among my favourites. When I began plotting his making, I got plots handed to me only to receive more when I finished him. >.> So I guess everybody wants to hang out with my sweet little demon kitty. I even made him a cute little signature that turned out really well!

one of my favorite characters i've made is called mim and i always love writing her. her initial concept is she's a squib, big disappointment to her fancy wizard family, and her younger brother ends up being something of a magic protege and is spoiled by their parents. there's a lot of unbalance in the family dynamics, but the thing with mim is i want her to be something of an unreliable narrator. she has a victim complex. things are always worse to her than they really are.
mim's not a bad person and she's not trying to hurt anyone, but she has a lot of negative qualities that come out the more you get to know her. she's super passive aggressive, she's not upfront about anything, and she'll paint you as the bad guy to make herself feel better. and i just really like that dynamic with her. someone who presents themselves as quiet and timid with low self worth, but who would probably throw you to the wolves to save her own skin.
but as much as i love writing mim (and talking about her), she's a bit tricky to incorporate into settings. mim's dependent on being able to be some sort of ostracized type (a squib, a mutant, ect.) while her brother isn't and is thus more favored. because without that, there'd be no difference between her and her brother and how they grow up because mim's parent's aren't intended to be bad people - just traditionalists.
