What is your guys' natural posting speed? E.g. 2 posts a week, 5 posts in a day, etc. What do you also consider as "slow" and "fast" posting speeds?
Let me know what you guys think because I always considered myself to be a middle speed when it comes to posting. I'd average maybe 2 or 3 posts every 2-4 days? Longer if I didn't know I have a reply or lack the muse. But what I consider middle might be slow for some.

for me, if people can get out same day replies, multiple times that day, that is hella fast. i have a few friends who are like scarily on it, and sometimes i'm able to do so as well. but it's not an always thing.
currently, as i'm only doing private rp with like two friends, my posting speed is x amount of threads i owe within the week of them being posted. during those good muse times, i can get them all knocked out the day after they're posted (it helps a lot when the dynamics are all different). but i start feeling like poo if i have to delay responding. anything over a week to me feels like i am just not trying aoevrofhf
neither partner has ever rushed me, and i've never rushed them. but i like to keep relatively timely. so like, replies within 3 days max is where it's at for me mentally. anything more than one week for myself feels slow, but if it is my partner, i am like bitch do not worry. i will wait 6 months if i have to. it's weird

my natural posting speed sucks, like it decayed from replying every day and knocking out multiple posts back in high school to one/two post a week. it's improved slightly...now that i graduated but i get distracted easily. i feel so bad asladjd b/c i'm into the plots im in but im just slow.
rn, i usually get to everything i owe in a week or two, especially since most of it consists on private rp and also b/c rapid fire & short word counts are my best friend and the people i'm currently rping with feel the same way.
but i think fast replying is probably something within a week? and "slow" would probably be a month. tho if it's me who's waiting nothing feels slow and u cant take 50 yrs it's all good, i had a friend reply to a private thread a year later and it was cool.

it depends wholly on what i'm doing and... what's expected of me.
i do a lot of rapidfire things too, where it's established that i am going to stop replying to the thread after i go to sleep, and we'll just end it wherever it's ended. this is like, for slice of life stuff. stuff that doesn't really matter. or stuff that — well, you know! easily abandoned things. i can go for like 13 replies in a couple of hours, easy.
and then my one writing partner and i on our forum can go from like... there's been a couple of days this year where we've managed to post 50 times each in a day. or only a couple times a day!
HOWEVER for writing with other people who i'm not... you know, particularly in sync with like i am for this one writing partner, i would say maybe. i generally clock in like. one or two replies a week.
idk! it's not very helpful i know hahaha. i am either quite speedy or slow as molasses and i dont have it in me to be sorry about it anymore u___u

Uhhh I usually sit down to post about 2 times a week but I do almost all of my replies between those two sessions.

i tend to chug along at about 2-3 posts per day when i write, and i try my best to keep my threads at a number where people only have to wait about 4-5 days for a reply. honestly, i feel really bad when i keep people waiting a week or more for a reply, and if it comes down to it i'll bust my ass and try my best to catch up with my owed threads so that it doesn't happen.
generally, i find that the most "rapid fire" i can get with my threads is 4-5 posts a day for replies that clock in at around 2-3 paragraphs, but i have a hard time condensing my posts in the first place, so i don't really find shorter replies all that helpful in terms of upping my posting speed. i sometimes see other rpers grinding out ~10 replies in one day and their strength always amazes me, but i personally prefer to write at a "slower" pace because i make more mistakes when i rush and end up feeling like my writing quality has decreased, even if others don't necessarily think so.
i'd have to say my biggest struggle though is that i almost always reply to my threads in the order in which they were replied to because i always feel bad deviating from it, but i find that my muse for certain characters far outstrip others at specific moments. and it's hard to focus my motivation on the replies i know i should be writing rather than the replies i want to be writing.

My posting speed relies specifically on my muse, time during the day and if I even remember because of my post-concussion short term memory loss. Therefore, I'm not the most consistent poster but I do try to post within 3-4 days of the previous post.

My average turn around time is with in about 4 hours (unless I'm sleeping), regardless of how long the post ends up being. How many times I post per day depends entirely on how many threads I have because I tend to reply faster than most of the people I RP with. I'll absolutely write 15+ posts a day if I get that many replies because I really, really like RPing.
When I do find people that prefer the same pace I do, I make sure I can reply to all my threads with in about 2-3 days at most. If I can't do that, then I think I have too many threads because I prefer threads that really move rather than having lots of them. The threads that move result in more plot happening, which is what I like RP for. I'm one of those weird people that likes the format of forum RP, but doesn't actually like writing, so writing individual posts does very little for me.
Makes me wish I liked chat-based RP and rapidfire more tbh.

I do my best to reply within a week for each thread I’m in, so if we’re basing speed on total # of posts per week, it depends.
If we’re talking about how much time it takes to write one (1) post, my natural writing speed is hella slow, glacially slow. I don’t know whether it’s because I always get distracted halfway, or am just overthinking every sentence, but it’s very rare that I can just sit down and hammer out a post in one continuous session, let alone several back-to-back—whittling is more my style. (What do I get distracted by? What am I overthinking? Beats me.) Worst part is they don’t even end up that long so I don’t know where the time goes. My pitiful record for fastest posting time was spitting out one reply a day, for like a week or so for this one thread. ~Rapid fire~ if a day turnaround time still counts as rapid.
That said, anyone who can reply multiple times a day is fast in my book. Five, or ten times a day: super fast. And anyone who can sit down and reply to 10+ threads in one sitting: sonic speed.

when the cosmos hates me (a.k.a: when i have stuff going on in life) almost nonexistent, shows up once every 2 weeks and drops a bunch of posts on a day off and leaves. Comes back eventually, probably won't see me in the discord because i'm a tired creature of the night and ya'll pretty much already in bed anyway. When the cosmos loves me: In all seriousness i hate stagnating and strive to reply daily if i can, weekly at the longest so long as life allows me the chance and energy to do so. If someone is willing to sit and rapidfire with me? Fuckin gem in the rough let's do it. If the ball is rolling i'm fast and have no chill, if it's not i struggle real hard to get back on but with a little tlc i'm usually back to regular replies before long. My speed depends on your speed, the faster you are the faster i am, let's steam roll. The slower you are the more likely i am to lose the ball and have to go find it but i'll try real hard not to make you wait too long. I consider daily or multiple daily to be a fast pace, every few days is pleasant and relaxed, weekly is chill and steady which is totally okay! Much longer than that though and it's usually a little slow for me but i'll keep myself preoccupied at least!

endless bless you for having infinite patience waiting for my salty man to come home from the war in Ba Sing Se Hoenn
Due to work I normally hoard all my replies for the two days off I have (Monday and Tuesday my time) however I have recently found a balance to finishing work early and making sure I eat at the same time. So now I have a new schedule… After I get off work, I get online and start posting as fast as I can. Once I get the fire lit under my ass, it’s post after post, after freaking post. I had a two-page thread with my irl ldr boyfriend who’s on one of the two three sites I am currently on and wow it felt so liberating posting so quickly for one person and just getting in the zone for replies. Thanks to that I’ve gotten my posting wings back, and so try to reply at least once a day to any owed threads I have!

anywhere from Immediate to It's Been Twenty Long Years. it depends a lot on muse for that particular character and how well i vibe with my role play partner. there's some people i just really like to write with b/c we have super good synergy both in and out of character.
i always try to give replies within a couple of days on forums although on tumblr, i've got shit from a month ago i should get around to LMAO
i also try to tell role play partners that like - if i don't reply within a week but they see me posting in other topics (especially frequently), to please actually hit me up. because 99% of the time when this happens, it's nothing to do with muse and me just being bad at keeping track of things and thus forgetting this thread exists u___u

everyone tells me i'm a speedy poster, when they ask for a starter they're always surprised i've got it up asap. since i juggle between three sites, my replies could sit for up to a week at most but then, i clear out my notifs lol also, just because i can be fast with replies at times, i don't expect the same of my partners. i'm patient and if you wanna take weeks or months to reply, thats chill with me uwu
