site plot: Kismet Divided started off a dystopia where The Syndicate segregated magic users from non-magic users, with the latter locked out of the safe haven of the Capital and left to live in the dark ages. Betelgeuse - a crime organisation - retaliated and thus a war ensued. Right now, the Capital is in shambles with both the Syndicate and Betelgeuse gone; with Betelgeuse having fled to "elsewhere" areas. Two gangs in the Capital are now striving to help those who remain survive while also vying for governing. In the meantime, Betelgeuse must re-establish and build connections with foreign citystates if they want to go home and take control of the capital.

Required Tasks
• Help keep the site clean (claims up-to-date, event tallies when we have them, archiving accounts when applicable, help archive threads with one or more inactive character during our annual clean up, et cetera)
• Post/RP - it's my belief that staff set an example, so if we want people to post then we ourselves have to post. KD requires a minimum of 1 IC post a week, but I would prefer it if mods posted at least once daily or almost daily.
• Adhere to our rules - for example, if you need to take a hiatus for whatever reason, make sure you post in break-time forum. People notice when staff/mods don't post their hiatuses, and then they assume that they don't have to.
• Help with plotting events behind scenes, proof-reading, et cetera if applicable
• Baby sitting the site when I have no internet access or need to take a short hiatus (I will, of course, take over fully whenever you need a hiatus as well)
• Help advertise (affiliate, first link, et cetera)

Optional but would be fantastic
• Help moderate events now and then
• Update code/skin (we haven't updated our skin in years /screams/ well, graphics aside) once a year or once every couple years

Other
I am a little fried. I feel like I've been pulled in too many directions at once for too long, so I'm finding simple tasks like maintenance to be difficult. So, if you work as a mod, you may find that I'm a little sloppy or forgetful. That's really why I'm looking to hire mod(s), because I think this stretched feeling is adversely affecting my site and I could use some help to rebuffer and get things back on track.

I can be pretty strict and there are some things I won't budge on (if they are intrinsic to my core values and interests), but I will try to take in suggestions/critiques if you have any to improve site functionality and morale.

On another side note, we do occasionally do things like anime nights, movie nights, and game nights with the community that you can enjoy!

If you have any friends you'd like to bring along to help integrate you into the site more comfortably, feel free to have them tag along.

ideal applicant
• I do not want any mods who are moderating at 2 or more other sites. In my experience, they're usually stretched too thin and don't do any work or burn out and leave very quickly. If you mod at one other site, that's perfectly fine.
• A mod who is friendly (but you can still be yourself) and able to socialise and post on a daily or almost daily basis
• A mod who is not afraid to give me suggestions or feedback, but is also okay if if I say "no."
