welp that was a shit show. broke up with the guy i was with. i tried to be positive but if he handles me roughly, leaves me bruises, then tells me i deserve it....yeah i should have dumped him a long while ago but couldn't cause i was blinded by the fact that he was my first boyfriend and felt like no guy would like me and etc. he also had issues, which i won't be saying what but i tried to be understanding but the emotional highs that he would go to were just extremely unhealthy.

i use to be happy a lot and just smiley. after all of that im not. ;o;

now im deployed and seeing some other person but they're like much older than me, but they treat me 1000% better (so far)

People who weaponize their insecurities to hurt you are the worst. Glad to hear you're doing better now, but holy moly that first part was rough. Hope you can do what you need to do, talk to who you need to talk to, and go where you need to go to get that smile back though. Being happy and smiley is awesome and most people need more of it.

never gonna happen but site invasions would be super cool. whenever a site has a big event everyone jump site hops for that event then scatters afterwards.

DC site doing a brainiac event? everyone in the animanga community joins w/ a whatever character and fights; fills that niche of meta humans rising against world ending.

pokemon site doing a tournament arc? everyone jumps in and 'oh we're trainers from other regions heard this is pretty prestigious'. leave after the event and everyone does their own thing.

fantasy post apoco? evil god gathers bunch of minions (temp new members) that fight against standard site members until they die off.

it's like when a ClIQuE joins a site and brings their own group to the mix but at a community scale for a site event or something. used to love that shit in the summer.

Honest to God this needs to be a thing holy moly

There are a lot of concepts/fandoms/etc. I wouldn't want to permanently be at but to drop in for like an event and be like boom no commitment that would be A1 af.

Heya June! Figured I'd drop a line here since my site fits the combat system, humans with powers, school, small/chill community (what other admin will share their most embarrassing memes from 2012?), apocalyptic setting (world overrun with monsters instead of zombies, but I count it!), RWBY fandom so you're familiar with it, LGBT friendly (I ain't policing who ships with who, love is love), Animanga FCs, and lore (transcribed some World of Remnant episodes in addition to the AU stuff). 10/12 markers isn't bad, and if you stretched it to question the validity of training children from their preteen years to become the martial defenders of humanity the world could seem pretty dystopian too so I'ma reach and say 11/12. Right now there's no robots/androids though because way earlier in the timeline than Penny.

ADVERTISINGRULES AU HISTORYDISCORD

The Remnant Project is a post-Great War Haven Academy focused AU, where the story follows students just entering the Academy and their progression from little nobodies to licensed Huntsmen/Huntresses.

If we don't fit, I wish you luck in your search! (:

Raging and anger responses in general will get you nowhere in life.

There's a difference between assertive and total jerk, and I didn't comprehend that difference for a very long time. Just because people react with the same negativity to both in a lot of instances does not mean that they are not different and that third parties do not perceive them to be different.

The goal of an argument is never to convince the other person, but the audience. If you're not arguing with an audience or a third party you're trying to convince, the argument is pointless. The only exception to the above is family and significant others, who you kinda have to live with so you can't get around that. Other than that, though? Don't waste your time trying to change an individual's mind because it happens so rarely and is almost never worth the effort. There's a difference between someone who actively wants to make an informed decision and those who just like picking fights and it took me way too long to understand the difference.

You can't eat your moral high ground. Your moral high ground does not pay bills and does not improve your life. Quitting or stepping down when faced with injustice is all well and good, but there needs to be a backup plan and you need to realize you didn't solve anything by doing it. Patting yourself on the back for being 'the good person' doesn't get you very far. Sometimes working against the stream for a bit can actually help people, and that should always be tried before just cutting bait with no backup plan or alternative in mind.

You might feel trapped where you're at right now, but later in life you'll have opportunities to move across the country a few times on a whim and spoiler alert most of the places suck if your mindset also sucks. Changing environments is only a temporary solution to the real problem of a bad attitude. Your ego is your worst enemy, not mean people or fate or bad luck or anything else.

You're an above average student, but nobody will ever care about that in your entire life except for your mom and your ego. Basing your self worth on grades will never help you, and will just cause you a lot of unnecessary stress.

Pls don't play football. I don't care what your coaches tell you, 135lbs is not big enough to be on the line and you're going to destroy your shoulder. Your future self will thank you and you'll save yourself a couple of concussions too. It doesn't matter if you win the starter spot if you're injured the entire year because your joints are made of glass, and you're not playing college ball because you're just not that athletic. Do running instead, you're better at it and will get hurt way less.

Sometimes I feel like an alien working as a grad assistant.

Some professors are so used to bullying PhD candidates that they don't even fathom that someone isn't there to work in academia and might actually stand up for themselves when treated unfairly. They know they have tenure and just don't care because they will suffer no repercussions for it. It's killed any enjoyment I got from school tbh.

I WAS NOSTALGIA TRIPPING THROUGH OLD ROLEPLAY FORUMS TODAY

ONE OF THE CBOXES OF A SITE I USED TO BE PART OF LITERALLY ALMOST A DECADE AGO UPDATED IN THE PAST YEAR

PEOPLE SHARED THEIR DISCORD TAGS

PEOPLE I STILL REMEMBER AND REMEMBERED LOVING TO WRITE WITH FOR YEARS

TODAY IS A BLESSED DAY

IF NONE OF THEM REMEMBER ME THEN IT WILL BE SAD DAY BECAUSE WE WERE ON THAT SITE TOGETHER FOR LIKE TWO YEARS

Just a quick rant.

I really, really dislike people who ask for line by line application reviews on Discord. I'm talking like people who will post random sections of their app in chat and expect it to be reviewed instantly, and then ask again once it's reviewed because it got buried after a day.

I've spent about 20-30 hours the past month and a half or so doing them, and they have been pointless every single time. I'm stopping them entirely, because two out of four of those reviews resulted in any sort of WIP post -- and of those two, both of them had the exact issues that I pointed out earlier or warned against.

I have no idea what the mindset is of 'hey can you review this' and then not showing me or any other staff what you are working on. Can you have a sword? Yeah, sure. Me saying you can have a sword, because come on everyone likes swords does not make me a liar when you app a meteor shooting world ending rapier with 18 points that can all rip your soul out of your body when it touches you. You asked if you could have a sword, and I said yes. There were parts left out, though.

It's been a long time since I've adminned a site, so having to relearn all of these things that I could get away with as a normal staffer but not as an admin is really annoying because I should know better. The hours I spent doing that could have been spent posting or running classes or DMing or any number of things and I just got robbed. From now on I'm just reviewing concepts and the actual profiles. A month and a half and being yanked around is more than enough for me to learn my lesson again.

Update on the previously mentioned character situation. I found out that proboards will let you download your posts and stuff from forums. Even if they're in MM. So I've finally got that character. Now I just need a place use em.

Funny how things work. I tried getting my old AdventureQuest account back for like a decade almost, every few years with the same information and they finally gave me it back a few months ago after like 5 attempts over those 10 years.

Good things come to those who are persistent enough to outlast policies that are bad for them.
