about two years ago, my husband gave me "the pupper promise", which was his promise that when one of us would be home during the day (i.e., not working an office job), we could get a dog. we both agreed that this was good and right.

i've been watching the local humane society's website for months with no luck, so i turned to classifieds. lo and behold, yesterday the pupper promise was fulfilled!

meet sawyer, a lab/GSD mix. he's about four months old and has extra toes on his rear paws!

i mean it's seasoning and salt, whats the worst that's gonna happen? you turn into seasoned, salty zombie?? haha...unless :eyes:

exactly! it smells and tastes fine. and anyway, would it be so bad to be a salty zombie that smells and tastes amazing?

this morning, i realized that i have been using the same bottle of lawry's seasoned salt for at least 7 years. i likely bought it in 2011 or 2012, and it expired may 27, 2013. lmao

me: *keeps using it anyway* this is fine

I'm okay, thanks for asking. I think I knew it for awhile now, I just was afraid to go get it checked out.

that's good, i'm glad you got it checked out!

A physician hit me with the “C” word today. He told me it was BCC, the best kind of skin cancer to have. Hooray?
woah, what? how are you doing? are you ok?

i know of two other online editors with private projects: codesandbox and jsbin, but private projects on both are part of their "pro" plans. codepen is the most reasonably priced. i pay for it annually and have found it really useful, plus you can upload images and other files.

EDIT: was just reminded of jsfiddle, as well. but private projects are still subscription-based.

i'd actually recommend learning how to set up a local server on your computer with hot loading (through npm — node package manager). then store your code in a github private repo, and github is definitely not going anywhere. this way, your stuff is safe AND you'd be learning an industry-standard development process. here are some good links to get started:

git-scm.com/doc
try.github.io/
nodesource.com/blog/an-absolute-beginners-guide-to-using-npm/

i'd be more than happy to help anyone with learning this stuff + getting set up. if you're seriously considering a career related to building websites, this skill would be very valuable. also, it's cool af.

otherwise, though, i think one of the free online editors is your best bet with scratchpad gone.
