here to say i feel you. very much so my experience in the rp scene as of late.


also, even if it doesn't help you right in this moment to feel better, i always get excited when i see you on sites that i am on. i might not reach out because i am really bad at doing that - i'm always there just cheering from afar!! so you know at least 1 person (me) likes you.

it's all i roleplay on nowadays. i don't feel comfortable or confident enough to write in panfandoms. nor am i always interested in fandom-based sites much.

feels like it's harder to really connect w. communities since i've started working 9 to 5. all the chat activity goes on in the day.

i was born and raised in long island, new york but i've been in florida for about five years now. feels like i should have been here my whole life. i love it so much and i can't imagine anywhere else i'd rather be right now. this state is so much cleaner than new york and the nature is just as breathtaking. i don't miss the cold, snowy winters either.

around where i live here, there are a ton of beautiful springs which i love. it helped me discover that i have a passion for kayaking. even the surrounding oceans and the sand... it's all so wonderful.

the sole kindness of being offered cheese puffs and told i can take as many as i want by my coworker made my day.

i really need a place where i can write darker material without stepping on toes. 😔

just my take based in my own experiences but...

it doesn't take that much time to help someone. it's not very common either as far as i've noticed from running my own joints. the longest i've ever had to help someone on a forum come from the folks that are really developmentally challenged or very bad at english which is super rare to even encounter. so, not having enough time ever is a bit of a silly concept to me.

in the same vein, it's not wrong to just not want to help a newbie at all. but regardless if you want to do so or not, no shame in telling the person to wait until you have time and/or delegating the task to another willing individual. or... i guess plastering in your guidebook for those people to go away is better than nothing too. saves everyone a bit of time.

anyway, if anyone has me on their forum in the future and there comes along a newbie of any variety that needs help, just send 'em my way. :thumbsup:

working at an optical lab has allowed me to learn about all the variety of lenses that you can get that i've never seen and the unfortunate reality of knowing how much the office itself pays the lab vs. what they charge the customer for the lenses. it's a bit nuts.

fun fact(?); optical prescriptions have really satisfying numbers on them most of the time aside from the axis which can be anything from 0 to 180. but the rest of it is just multiples of 5.

just caught myself up in made in abyss and all i can say is... wow.

+2 for cyberpunk esp. if it's cyberpunk 2077. i just want to be a gal in night city.

i've been addicted to farming games as of late and sun haven has been... so fun. scratching all my little itches.
