i don't think i'll ever not dislike one word responses.

they make it super difficult for me to tell the tone and near always have a way to put a damper on my day because it makes me feel like i'm doing something wrong. even when i'm not.

i always think of padding as like... clothes or armor. the more articles you put on, the bulkier it makes you.

then, margin is the opposite. i associate it with paper margins. but another way to think about it which is similar to how we've been living with covid is it's a property that is like...

professor: test starts at 2:00pm
me: okay *goes to study until then*

then, 2:00pm comes and i go on canvas to take the test and i see it started at 12:35pm and ends at 2:30pm.

like okay... i guess i'll just... fail? but the unfortunate lesson learned to double check next time.

it isn't exactly elden ring but it is based on dark souls which is a similar world setting. if not a direct parallel. very similar concepts.
