Not sure if it's what you're looking for since the site doesn't cater to that idea specifically, but creating storybook personifications like that is possible on Surreality. We have a number of people playing fictional characters, but most of them are from worlds that the rper creates themselves; having personifications of characters from already existing literary works is something I want to see more of, though!

Your templates are always so nice. I bet any skin you make would be stellar.

Also, if there's going to be a skinning for newbs group, I'd like to throw my whole body into the ring. I'm in the middle of making my first skin and I always get stuck on small, stupid things that should be crazy obvious. Right now, it's jcink's macros.

If this isn't me, idk what is.

I sometimes get that instant, visceral (and completely illogical) feeling of Fear And Regretโ„ข when I overshare and mention a series/thing/whatever that I Care About with someone who starts getting really excited about it. I also go through an internal struggle when deciding what fcs to use because while I don't want to raise awareness of certain series (that are probably already popular), I also would feel 4935403570 times worse if someone flew in later on and took the fc for their own character.

Maybe it's just me... but no matter the site, I've always had a harder time making close friends as a staffer than as a member? Sure, I get to know more people (and get more attention overall) when I have The Titleโ„ข... but I deffs have difficulty dumping attention on the people I want to know better the same way I used to be able to. Maybe it's because of how staff responsibilities eat up my time โ€” or because I don't want to showcase something that could be misconstrued as blatant favoritism โ€” but like... make friends, how do?

I used to think the same way back when I worked in retail. But there was this one time that I learned from a coworker (who knows ASL) that a regular I once wanted to complain about was actually deaf. He was self-conscious about the way his voice may've sounded when he tried to speak (even though it didn't strike me as different in any way in the off chance he said a word or two)... So yeah. I felt like an asshat for awhile after that.

Also, I'd 1340573945% rather deal with silent customers than offensive ones who try to flirt.
