Genre: Real Life High School and Slice of Life RP

Description: Hey, I'm Sylvia and the admin of A Tale in the Star. The site is a work in progress as of now and I am currently looking for several moderators for this fun site...

I have no preference as to how many mods I need, but would love to have four mods, and with an experience in running sites ! would like for them to have some past roleplay experience in Slice of Life RP and a good idea on creating site events to move forward the site.

And if you do well in graphics, codes, etc, then please mention that as well. Most of the mod work would be pretty easy such as updating the claims, checking over the posts, clearing doubts of new members, so on so forth..

I am specifically looking for these staff members though :
Advert mod - need to advertise the site over jcink, and pb sites and link back to the ads posted on the board. -- filled by Jay

Graphics mod - Need to have a little experience in creating site awards, otm winners and banners also if possible ..

Canon Mod - Need someone who would dive deep in to the culture of Korea and how things work in there, so as to add more depth into the site.

General Mod (x2) - Need people who would help me by updating the claims of the characters which are accepted as we follow a master list form. They also need to archive old apps, old posts and help out members when they have doubts.

ATS Site Setting ^_^

A Tale in the Star is a high school and slice of life site set in the fictional version of Seoul, South Korea.

As the site is based on the present day South Korea we will not be considering the schools, colleges, entertainment companies already existing. Only the places and cities will be considered as canon.

Thus the members have a chance of creating a whole new world to RP in based on SK.

Seoul houses the most famous Jinsil High, the escalator school from kindergarten to High School followed by Gangseo Academy the famous college, where students from all over SK aim to be a part of. From the rich brats to the commoners and those on scholarship the academy houses them all.

The Palladium Entertainment boasts for being the top most idol company which has several artists signed under it's name.


what is special in ATS

we are a pg rated site, with Plot & Member driven site with 150+ word count and real life face claims.

There would be awards to win and roulette's to participate in every month giving the chance to enjoy your characters.

Site wide events would be conducted marking the important dates like Chuseok, Halloween, Christmas, New year's, Easter and Valentine's Day. There is a chance to win exciting prizes on IC and OOC level.

I am in the works of making a High School and Slice of Life RP set in the Present day in a fictional island based on South Korea with a twist... I want all the elements of a real life RP like entertainment world, high school, day-to-day life...

Slightly based on the K Dramas we all watch... The usual high school cliques would be there and so would the elite members of the school who are sons and daughters of the Chaebols trying to learn their business as well as new subjects, and even idols who are juggling with their careers and school ...

It will be in jcink, and not a Premium site, and thus no mature content will be allowed .. I want it to be open to all..

It is a real life face claims, and since it is based in South Korea, the ethnicity will matter

It will be a plot and member driven site, the staff would add in a few events or so to make the RP-ing fun..

Fandom : Harry Potter ...that's it.. not going to RP in any other fandom ....
Site : Protego Totalum-- It is a proboards site --- I am not going to join in any sites... I am an admin in there and have around 15 characters sooo I want someone who would join me in the site and RP with me

Character Preferences & Pairings : I mostly write both male and female characters; prefer Hetero pairings and sometimes Homo as well...

How often do I generally post? Once in two days... since I am an admin on the site, I cannot guarantee daily replies..

Length of my post? I usually hit a minimum of 300+ words in a post... and when it is a plot concerning post then the reply is around 2-3 paragraphs ie, around 800+ words

What rating are you comfortable with? 2/2/2 I am a strict fade to black person when it comes to sex... and I am not a fan of excessive swearing and violence in my writing, though I do not mind when others do ....

About me :
I am someone who likes to take on wide variety of characters and dive into various plots.. aka I am a character whore...
I love to use fancy templates for my posts, though there would be no hovers, and the text size will be a min of 11px ..
I live for creating dramatic plots for my characters ... and pushing them to the edge
I am willing to mold my existing characters to match with my buddy's wanted ads, or create a new character altogether (I never complain about having more chars)
I am kinda particular about the characters having images in the mini-profile and would fill out the info there ... I do not like to have to go into the character application each time I want to see their age, their house or such


Seeking :
Comfortable in writing familial, platonic, romantic and antagonistic plots
Who loves to create dramatic plots with their characters ..
Who loves to have more threads at a time and not stick to one after another approach
Someone who would interact with other members of the site and enjoy plotting with them as well
Someone who is comfortable with me being on the other side of the world ..
And needs to have Discord account, as I prefer to chat on there
needs to be active and not disappear for months coz of exams and stuff... weeks are okay, but not months, as it would kill my muse and keep the plots on hold
is preferably more than 20 years old, and not over 40...
I need someone who is willing to create at least a simple plotter and use templates in posting, nothing fancy but at least wrapping the post in blockquote would do..

Important Info: All of the characters are needed for moving forward the plot and thus the people who want to claim them should be well versed in Harry Potter verse and should be willing to be more active and post at least once a week and more if the plot advances.

Literacy Level Required: intermediate
Other Requirements: nope.

Plot: An AU Potter RP, where the prophecy was never made, the Potter's never died and where Voldemort died in the hands of Albus Dumbledore. Marauders aka James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin are all alive and their kids are currently in Hogwarts. It is set in the year 1996. The Site gives importance to the Wizarding World and the numerous families who are related to one another giving a chance to forge new relations both familial and platonic.

What sets Protego apart from the other Sites :

Your favourite characters' are all living and breathing ! As Protego has an AU plot, where the war was won in 1979, many of the character deaths were avoided.

The marauders have kids who are currently at Hogwarts. And many of them are open as of now.

The families of canon have been expanded to add some extra members giving everyone a fair chance to play as Malfoy, Potter, Black, Weasley and Prewett etc.

We have a family tree which makes pureblood and halfblood families to find their cousins and even create new relationships.

The activity rules are pretty easy to follow (one post per month) and you can get to create as many characters as possible.

There would be House points to earn and roulette's to participate in.
