Since you mentioned it being fantasy, would you be allowing playable races other than humans or magic? That could be another cool draw since you could play around with how different races handle Pokemon and the shrines as well as the cultural influences. One race might be inclined to use them for war, another might want to preserve and create a strong bond with them.

You mentioned "thread points" -- would this just be the monetary system? Per post you get x amount of points. Or, would it be a matter of mods reviewing a completed thread and awarding points as they see fit? Usually a mix is good, with the base post points and the bonus points for whatever criteria you have (amount of pages, average word count, character development, etc.).

How would you handle capture and the amount of Pokemon a person can have overall? If it's just a summon and capture, it can be very easy for one character to end up with more Pokemon than they can actually handle, and settings like these often call for them having the space to keep all of them. You could limit them by the land they own specifically for Pokemon (ie. an acre of farmland for every 10-15 Pokemon outside of their party), or you could limit it by making the price of the capture devices higher in addition to the shrine fee. I know some fantasy Pokemon RPs use magic crystals instead of Pokeballs since Pokeballs are too modern for most fantasy settings (unless it's modern fantasy).

All just ideas and questions. I definitely want to see where you go with this!

I'm sliding in to say gimme!

I've sadly only played Inquisition (still playing, actually), but the wiki has been a huge help in understanding the base lore.

If you need any help, let me know! I can definitely help out with any Jcink issues you may have.

Alas, this is something you will just have to get used to. The current Proboards editor disregards plugins. It does the same across its mobile version.

If you're creating something from scratch, I suggests making the table in something like codepen and converting to BBCode and style tags after. It'll be a bit confusing at first, but at least you'll get a better understanding of the plugins you're working with that way.

Work held a costume contest today. It was supposed to be a single male/female prize, but my entire department (made up of all men minus me) ended up forcing it to be a group prize because all the men who actually dressed up were in our team.

Because we did a group costume.

It was great.

And a woman at work turned out to be a great makeup artist?? ?? Yet she didn't win the woman's category?? ?? >:c

I've been playing Hacker's Memory and a Digimon rp where you can play in the human world or a cyberspace between and then open the Digital World later would be super neat. I want hackers, messing with the human world, and vague common knowledge of Digimon!

Digimon with more slice-of-life elements rather than being thrust into the digital world would be niceeee. ;-;

Sometimes I think running/staffing a site prepares us for various types of jobs: customer service, management positions (to a slight degree. We don't get control logs/books or have to deal with money and other heavy responsibilities, etc. XD I mean more handling/managing others), advertisement firms (those video games, movies, and books you love so much: someone's gotta advertise them), web design (if you make your own skin), story planning (video games, author, animation, etc.), merchandise design (at some sites I staffed at, we had to come up with new limited edition event items), etc.

|: Of course, I'm also making it out to be bigger than it is, but we do kind of dabble in the shallow puddles of a lot of things. XD

I usually consider staffing a site akin to customer service. Which reminds me never to do a face-to-face customer service job since I can get super passive aggressive.

I also used the web design aspect to help get my current job.
