honestly, i was talking a little bit about activity standards and character creation somewhere else, and it really got me curious about something. more specifically, it got me really curious about people's posting habits. so just. who else is curious about how often someone posts compared to how many threads and characters (and sites) they have?
please remember not to bash or shame anyone in your reply.
sites (how many sites are currently you on?) characters (how many approved characters do you have on all sites?) threads (how many total threads do you have on all sites?) partners (how many individual rpers do you thread with on all sites?)
posting rate (roughly how often do you post on any account aka as a player?) post turnaround (roughly how long does it take you to turn around a post in a single thread on average?)
activity standards (optional) (what's the activity standards on each site you're on?) character creation (optional) (what's the standard for making new characters on each site you're on?)
edited 6/30 to add in the partners question since i think that's also something that'd be p interesting to see the dynamics of too.

and my own answers are as follows:
sites 2, about to become 3 characters 10 on one, 14 on another, so 24 total threads 25 on one, 36 on another, so 61+ total (i didn't include threads with characters about to go inactive or plotted starters i haven't made yet) partners 8 on one, 10 on another, and only 4 overlap, so 14 total
posting rate i probably average about a post a day post turnaround ... it probably averages out to a month or two to turn around a given thread oops
activity standards (optional) both have check-ins - one marks characters inactive if they've not posted in a month and force clears them if they haven't posted in two or if they've gotten marked inactive 3 times in a 6 month period (aka they keep going on and off inactive); the other marks characters inactive if they've not posted in three months but people can remain inactive indefinitely if no one asks to clear them and if they keep posting in the check-ins character creation (optional) both sites have the same standard of requiring 1) all characters to be active and 2) +1 minimum post count for each approved character to get the next one

sites One, cause I love settling. characters Currently accepted is 42 characters, however, in total, I plan to have 46. threads Approximately 55 threads at the current moment. I've probably done more at once, but I never counted my record. XD posting rate Usually I do post daily on weekdays. Weekends, depending on muse and business, I can manage to get through 10+ posts and sometimes more if I am extra musey. post turnaround Lately it has been 3-4 days, sometimes sooner. Usually, it is approximately 5-7 days. activity standards (optional) Standardly, I consider daily posting and constant plotting as displaying activity. I consider all my characters having plots and planned threads as active and don't mind reaching those goals slowly. For me, savouring the moment is very pleasant. My main hobby is role-playing, so I enjoy piling on plenty of plots and slowly transition through them. Meanwhile, the site I am on merely has an activity check where you tag and go, so really there is no established posting requirements. character creation (optional) My standards might be a tad strange??? For me, since I consider plotting a sign of activity, I will make a new character as long as I at least have planned plots/threads for the previous. This is mostly because I can take extensive amounts of time to create my characters, so usually, partners are waiting on me to finish someone. Just ask spiritfoxxy , she always has to wait for my slow butt to finish characters. >.> Thus I don't have a true-blue standard, but rather haste manifested by my hatred of making people wait for plots they adore.

sites one characters 3 but i've gone up to 14 and whew that was a Stressful Time threads simultaneously not enough and too many. i try to space my threads evenly out between characters but inevitably there's always one character who has a significantly higher amount. i think atm between 3 characters i have about 10 - 15 threads? partners i try to thread with anyone who's interested, but i think it's normal for role players to always have preferred people they write with.
posting rate i try to post once or twice a day but it doesn't always happen post turnaround uhh... i can be immediate or it can take me a couple of days. i usually try to prioritize threads by order i was replied to.
activity standards (optional) im going to answer this a bit differently but i prefer monthly activity checks that only require like, one post within the last week or two per character. character creation (optional) i don't always adhere to this but i like systems that increase the amount of posts required per character you have. so if you have 2 characters, the first needs at least 5 posts. if you have 3 characters, you need 10 posts on each. idk if those numbers are right or not, but i just mean i like incremental systems that encourage activity across all characters.

sites 1 characters 3 threads 6 (though for most of my time on this site I had closer to ~15, I just cut back recently) partners 4
posting rate Got pregnant, so my rate has been in the toilet. Without body shenanigans, I typically respond closer to hours than days (often like 4-6 hours) unless I'm like at work or sleeping or behind or something. post turnaround See above really. I don't like taking more threads than I can respond to in ~2 days at most. With in the day is preferable
activity standards (optional) 1 post a month per character character creation (optional) No restrictions unless you're spamming characters so hard it's hard for staff to keep up

sites *counts* uhh, 2? Definitely 2. characters almost 2 on one, four on the other. threads 3 threads on one, I--lost count on the second (ha H A) partners my bf is on the first one but not the 2nd; on the 2nd it depends if they're okay with my appearing at least 2x a week bc work sucks and can die in a toilet.
posting rate I usually try to get them all done in one go. One character at a time. *cue dry laugh* post turnaround depends on how fast my posting companion/s are. on one site i'm in an event + I have to post first so I gotta keep up with that one. On the 2nd I'm also in a raid but thank fuq that's much faster and--
activity standards (optional) see-sawing on the first, active on the 2nd. character creation (optional) I only make characters as much as my muse can expend.

sites 2 characters 4 (five once i get my butt into order) + 1 threads 12 + 4 partners 8 + 4
posting rate maybe a few posts every month per account? post turnaround i usually reply within three days without any extenuating circumstances.
activity standards (optional) one post per month + no acs for now character creation (optional) 10 posts (3 ic / 7 other) for previous account before making a new character. maxes out at 10 + no restrictions
so uh, this has changed a lot. here we go tho, new shit: sites 3 characters 1 + 2 + 12 (working on 13th rip) threads oh fuck. so, i still have like 1 on one site, 1 on the other, 80ish on the new site. end me now.partners 1 + 1 + 21 but i have no idea rip posting rate nghdepends on which one. most of them on the first two sites get a few posts every month. the third one gets like,, posts every 10 days or so? but like,,, when i say posts, i mean i dump all 30 queued posts oops post turnaround within a week. it fluctuates depending on my mood, but usually, it doesn't take more than a week or two. activity standards (optional) no acs + no acs for now + two or more posts that total 200w per month character creation (optional) two, buy more u sad person + no restrictions + no restrictions. maxes out at four, must pay for more character slots.

sites one characters seven threads 70-90. partners almost all the members on-site: around 52, including those i've plotted with and planned to thread with (only including active members).
posting rate i post every week at least 10 times - have been since i've joined the site. according to the tagging channel on discord, since the last 7 days i've posted about 77 times. this isn't really a fair estimate, however, since i took around 3 days to knock out all my posts in one day - so let's say about twenty less posts than that on average. post turnaround it depends. i prioritize quest threads, and i respond much quicker to threads where i'm tagged on-discord than those i just receive notifs for on the site.
activity standards (optional) 2 posts a month per character totaling 400+ words, or more than 2 posts, as long as you reach 400+ words. character creation (optional) purchasing it on the ic shop after your fourth character (which, up to then, all your characters are free).

sites One single forum characters 8 (about to be 9) threads 11 for now, but I have plots that have yet to become threads so soon it'll be more. partners All of them. It's small and new and I'm trying to reach out to everyone I can.
posting rate I post every night. post turnaround max, two days.
activity standards (optional) There is an activity check, but since it is new there has not been one yet. character creation (optional) Currently, none. You have to buy tickets with credits for you 5th+, but it's inexpensive so it's nbd. And earning credits is easy.

sites just one. i don't think i can handle more with my uni load fkjdhsf. characters 8. god help me. threads around like 60+? but a good number of them are inactive/slow-moving, so i consider only 20-30 active. partners i try to plot with as much people as i can! but i suppose that i have around 4 consistent partners where i'm at.
posting rate i try to go for 2-3 posts a day usually. as much as possible i want to be caught up with at least one character on a regular basis. post turnaround depends on the thread, my muse for a character, and general mood. i'll admit i prioritize time-sensitive, plot-heavy, or relationship-heavy threads, so those tend to take like 1-3 days on average. others would be a 1-2 weeks, maybe?
activity standards (optional) we have acs, but they're usually sporadic and not-often. other than that, people are generally lax about activity. though if we're to talk about personal preference, tri-weekly posting is my own standard for activity. character creation (optional) 4 free slots, then you need to purchase in the shop for more slots. the more characters / slots you have, the greater the price of the next slot.

sites only my own currently, but there's like 6. characters hahaha - ha - is there a sense of counting after like 400. threads probably over 100, though I'm not really sure. partners 4.
posting rate depends if I'm dead or in the hospital. post turnaround depends if I'm dead or in the hospital.
activity standards (optional) do what you want, because a pirate is free. character creation (optional) idk, I've learned that I just go with the flow and create whatever I want to exist. I should say I at most create like...6 on other people's sites. I just have no chill on my own.

sites 4 characters 10 threads 40 partners 30 different people
posting rate Roughly three posts a day average. Just not always everywhere. Two sites are significantly more active. post turnaround Somewhere between 24hr - 7 days. I attempt to clear out all the posts I owe that I'm tagged before they disappear on discord.
activity standards (optional) All sites require "one post a month" with only one having a traditional activity check and all the others the admin just keeps track of activity. character creation (optional) That varies. There's one site that has a requirement of 10 posts with characters before a new one is made. Another site that allows five free characters before certain amount of points need to be acquired. Another site that has all free characters. Last site is three free characters plus one post on the previous account before a new character.

sites 1 characters 7-8 threads Usually 7-14 and sometimes more partners 6-10+, fluctuates
posting rate 7-28+ times a day post turnaround 3m-30m, usual is probably about 5m-10m. (Edit: I pretty much post within the same day of receiving posts with some exceptions, usually more active in the early morning and later at night. When I write, it takes me anywhere from 3m-30m to write up a post.)
activity standards (optional) Once every 7 days character creation (optional) First 4 are freebies, then we have to get 50 IC posts on each before we can make a 5th unless there's a character creation promo. To make a sixth, the previous one needs 50 posts, and so on.

sites one characters seven, but I mainly focus on one as my "main" threads 20?? When I last checked. A lot of my threads tend to die out quickly orz. partners 1 solid partner who is my go-to incase I land no biters when I advertise. But I think I have 4 atm!
posting rate if I have threads, roughly every other day. Definitely once or twice a week though. Even without owed replies I tend to have a lot of opens I post. post turnaround Depends on the character and plot lol. Some characters are easier to write and therefore easier to binge post than others. Also if it's like... plot heavy I'll try to push it forward more unless I'm super into the dynamic. But I do try to binge post as characters at different times.
activity standards (optional) Extremely relaxed. We barely have ACs, used to have something where you had to pay points to keep your characters. character creation (optional) 4 free slots. If you want more you have to pay for slots using points you've earned through posting. More slots, the higher the price.
