I am the defender of freedom.
So, if I'm being completely honest, I already got this like 80% done and plan on rolling it out anyway. Buuuuuuuuuuuuut I still want to see if anybody is actually interested before I go ahead and finish this. To give a summary of the plot, believe me, it's long. Like, I made an entire timeline to explain what's going on. : A few hundred years ago, humans had made androids in hopes of combatting the machine forces deployed by the aliens some time ago. (This is given if you know Nier lore). Androids fought versus the Machines while humanity escaped to the moon, while a handful of people settled in Nova Scotia and started a civilization. After roughly 50 years of fighting, the humans on Earth, hailing from the civilization of Eden, attempt to co-exist with the androids and machines and show slow progress in doing so. Until 30 years later, which the androids become self-aware due to a line in their programming, causing them to rebel against the humans on the Moon and make their ways towards Earth, settling in a place that's a combination of Greenland and Iceland. So now that leaves it in a 1v1: Humans vs Androids. Granted these aren't the only options for characters, as there's a neutral zone in between the two (as Nova Scotia and Greenland have a strip of land between them) in which has become a Borderlands-type area filled with bandits, merc, merchants, and treasure hunters. What I have planned so far is: - Site Wide conflicts, where the main factions go head-to-head over a section of land, where the winning side gains some special reward that could put them in the lead for world domination.
- Player influenced events, where certain people of interest (who don't even have to be canon) can lead a group against one of the main faction or just make their own faction if they want to, granted they need people to follow them.
- World canons, so while either faction has their own canons, leaders and etc, there are also those who have a notoriety, being labeled as a person of interest by one or both of the factions
- Missions that lead up to events, such as scouting, claiming resources, other tactical things of the sort, which are all optional
- An optional leveling system, where members can by levels or spend their money on something else, allowing for different characters to take different routes instead of everyone being forced to grow in power.
Thoughts? Concerns? Comments? Anything is appreciated! Oh! And let me know if you'd be interested in beta testing if and when i get this mostly completed
