You know how some actors are cast in the same roles over and over again? Maybe they make great villains, or ditzy people, or someone strong and independent regardless of the movie. Whatever it is, they represent that type of character well.
So, my question to you is: which type of character do you keep finding yourself drawn to (in terms of creating and roleplaying) above all else? What do you think your character niche is?

Antagonistic and over the top. I like writing characters that get reactions out of people really easily

Really cutesy looking boys that look and act like balls of sunshine, yet are actually wolves in sheep's clothing. Would sell your soul to satan for a corn chip, yet cling to your arm and act like you're their protector.
I don't know why. Maybe it's because I only ever want to use adorable face claims, but I get paranoid people will think I'm making some kinda... uke stereotype? If I let them be an actual adorable qt?
Also they're just so much easier to write? When your character is a fake asshole you can thread in so many directions and drive viscous plots forward.
I keep trying to make actual nice characters, but it never sticks haha.

The asshole/bully type. The kind of characters you should hate, but cant help but love cuz of the total tsundere vibe my boys give off. Love playing these types!

historically there have been three archetypes: the socially stunted warrior girl who's just now realizing that she likes other women; trap fuccbois; and "is this within ToS?" sociopaths.

Characters who do evil, but are convinced that it's the only necessary way to see a greater good done, whether they're correct or not. I like me some deluded villains. >:3c
Another trope I do a lot are characters who do evil, or maybe not evil, but things that are definitely really toxic to themselves, things, recognize that they're hazardous to themselves and/or those around them, but continue doing them out of either spite or some means of self-punishment? Like, "I deserve to feel terrible/I don't know how to not feel terrible, so I'm gonna keep doing things that make me feel terrible." Just how edgy is that, sdkjflhsdf.

I try to mix up my personalities, but I think my signature is that I like to do "coming of age" style lads. I like to play out the way that people change from adolescence to adulthood. My favorite character started off a very cowardly boy when I first started, which was adorable until he got older and abandoned his responsibilities.

The bad boy/girl/nonbinary type. Asshole, tortured, tragic souls that have shit pasts, shit parents, and fuck their lives up further in life with their choices or get fucked over more and more till they hate everyone and cannot be bothered to give a shit (majority of the time). Add a sprinkle of a chance of being redeemable or can spiral to be made worse. Sounds about right.

i always have at least 1 idiot-type character. my general rule is to have one in the site that can make people laugh.
and then some sort of character where justice is a relevant theme. and + for canons, somehow, i end up playing a lot of suicidal/formerly suicidal characters (usually folks that have done Bad and are now doing Good...usually.)

all of them are incompetent. i keep praying i'll have one (1) character who ends up good at what they do but it just... won't happen.
also, characters who are in the middle of a big life change.

Introvert women. I always have a tough time getting into plots with them. Honestly, I'm probably doing it wrong :'D Otherwise, naive and optimistic characters who have yet to be scarred by life.
EDIT: So, it's been a while and I've noticed my other niche is characters with regrets they're working through! Love that good inner turmoil.
