while i enjoy a nice fandom rpg like any sane person, i do enjoy having a more mundane fantasy type of rpg. like i don't care if it's medival or futueristic, as long as it's got a mundane plot to work with and has some fantasy, i am all over it.

This is something pretty broad that can happen to any genre, so I can adapt to almost every site. But my favourites are ones with slice of life. I'm pretty into realism and magical realism (Inio Asano? Haruki Murakami?), and the fact that "nothing happens" gives plenty of room for them to play a major role.
That said, I'm not an enemy of fantasy and action. Trepidant roleplay moves the adrenaline.

I enjoy sites that explore prejudice and enable me to play with those themes. As a result, dystopias tend to catch my eye. I also need there to be a proper world to play in - I struggle with generic city or generic high school rps as they don't capture my imagination.

i'm very much a fan of slice of life and high school based sites.
but i also like simple fantasy style concepts (i.e, harry potter/percy jackson/rune factory).
i'm not heavy into lore, so i prefer things you can just slip into fairly easily.

Horror, sci fi and dystopian/apocalypse.. not sure if its a genre but animal rpg's mainly canid ones.
