2. Summer Blockbuster


The block between Cherry Road and 38th Street had seen a lot of things in its long life. It had seen the transition from horse drawn carriages to motor vehicles. It had seen more parades than anyone could count. It had hosted all sorts of buildings, from simple shacks, to fine housing, to a factory, and then back to more housing.

It had seen the times change. People born, and people die. It had withstood the harshest of weathers, last through periods of upkeep and indifference. It held strong, oh did it stay as strong as it could. No matter how many times the foundation was ripped out and put back in, the block between Cherry Road and 38th Street held strong.

Until it didn’t.

It was a fine July afternoon, blue skies, white clouds. Children laughing and screaming, bikes being ridden, drawings of chalk on the sidewalk. All was well, on this July afternoon, where nothing could go wrong.

Except it did.

Further down the road, a maintenance crew toiled away under the hot sun. No one knows what happened for sure, a broken line at the very least. Whatever happened, it set off a chain reaction that traveled under the city…And then popped up between Cherry Road and 38th Street. Children screamed as the ground beneath them busted open. There was water and sewage everywhere, it was all a mess, and everyone had A Time cleaning it up.

And since then, no one has forgotten that summer blockbuster between Cherry Road and 38th Street.

1. Lightning Bugs



Any bug could be a lightning bug if they tried hard enough. All it takes is a little courage. And maybe some foolishness. And perhaps most importantly, a death wish. But any bug can achieve their dreams if they’re willing to fight for it.

Their travels may take them far, and they may not go far from home at all. Sometimes all it takes is going to someone else’s home, and onto their porch to visit a god. A god may seem trivial to a mere bug, but to some, it’s the beginning and the end.

Look! There goes a bug now, off to meet the God of the Porch. It hums from where it hangs, and the bug lands on its metal face, to slip between bars and become one with the god-

Bzzzt!

Zap!

Pow!

And there goes that same bug, its charred husk of a corpse falling through the air one last time. The God of the Porch is indifferent as the bug falls. But by the sun in the day sky, and the moon in the night, that little bug did it.

For that one moment, it was fire and lightning all at once. It achieved its dream. It became a lightning bug.

And then it was dead.

i'll start with some older stuff that i made and really liked (and still do!!!) so this was for a harvest moon rp, believe it or not lol. i mean, 99% of everything i make is or was made for that but ANYWAY, I was doing a lil rebranding and getting a lil excited with my GROWING KNOWLEDGE of photoshopping and ok well anyway-

im a very non-confrontational person. i never get into Anything if i can help it.

but tonight, i broke that, for one hour. just cause this floppy shoed clown has been harassing a friend of mine over a headcanon she has for a fictional character.

and this squishy red nosed clown made the mistake of giving out his name, and where she could contact him on.

so i contacted him instead.

and it amounted to him going "lol did i trigger u, u snowflake", and then blocking me right after.

and i cant even be mad, that's the funniest shit thats ever happened to me.

what will come of this? idk. maybe he'll leave her alone, maybe he wont.

or maybe he'll do what i told him to, and he'll call his mom for attention instead.
