I love when people go off on a random tangent and are just so upset about something and I respond, very jokingly, "Mam, this is a Wendys."

My mother has picked this up and I'm both endeared and horrified cause she's used it wrong twice but she's used it right in a zoom call and made everyone laugh and she was so happy. I mean it's cute but oh dear I need to stop making jokes around her if she's going to use them in a zoom call.

I am *not* workplace friendly.

I literally got called into HR way more times than I would like to account cause they were "worried" about the "jokes" I made, and if I was "okay" and I'm sitting there having an out of body experience of both laughing and 'oh no'.

As I grow older I learn I have little to no time left for people who complain like doing the simplest thing is an assault on their very being.

Yes. Yes that would be the thing now wouldn't it.

In other news, my cat is dumb but she's cute at least.

THE YEARLY BATHING OF THE CATS IS OVER.

It just happened to coincide that two kittens decided to try to bathe in the wax melter, Loki decided to be Loki and slobber on herself, and Thor was Thor and he sat in something. Greg was free. They get their medication and vitamins tomorrow.

In other news, Loki reached out to my husband while she was being soaped and meowed pitifully and my husband was immediately conned. "She looks so sad!"

No she just wants to gouge your eyes out. Wet, Soap, Rinse, and dry - that is your duty. Don't put your face near a wet cat unless you know what you're doing. I do, that's why she doesn't bite me. She will bite and scratch anyone else.

I don't know how many times I've used the joke, "mam, this is a Wendy's" in the past few weeks but every single time I use it I feel like it's the most apt thing I can say cause I don't know how to deal with drama.

A: I don't really /have/ a favorite. I do prefer cats over anything (who couldn't see that coming from freaking space with their naked eye) but I just as long as they're either cute (beanie boos) or squishy (squishmallows) I'll take anything honestly.

Q: If you were stuck drinking a specific drink for a week, what would you choose?

I mean it's really nice to get a compliment about how I sound like a first year anything in a language I haven't practiced (aka Chinese or Portuguese) but like, I have no idea what I'm saying. I just think words are supposed to sound like this and I try with my dumb smooth brain. I know I get a *lot* of accents wrong (i'm looking at you c with a beard) but I try and I like to think it matters to those who speak the language and can handle me /absolutely/ butchering it for 20 years.

I can't even speak english most of the time, I'm so sorry.
