Okay, we as staff have been consistently running into an issue with ‘drama’ and ‘vagueposting’, etc. We are ending up becoming a battle ground for things off site, we’ve ended up holding these vague ideas that we’re supposed to be the forefront of making people sane and getting along with each other. This might be a little blunt, but we’re people and admins just like you. We took up these positions because we care about the community and we want to help it out but we are not in charge of you as people.

Starting from the top, PP is not – we repeat – is not, the battleground or the mediation for offsite drama. We care about code stealing, we care about people trying to steal, and things such as that. We are not here for who likes who. Most of, if not all of you, are adults. Lately, these actions of vagueposting and trying to sub-tweet in a forum environment is the actions of pure children. We get that some people are going to have valid drama and some people are never going to get along.

However, we’re not going to tolerate spamming our DMs or vagueposting in threads because you don’t like someone. There’s a healthy way around this. Block and move on. You are all old enough to be treated like adults. We respect all of you in being adults. Instead of trying to sub-tweet people like whiny children wanting to be snide, do it in private, do it wherever else, but the community threads. We have had enough of these instances.

From now on- we’re changing some rules.

You’ve got an issue with a post? Report it. Full stop there. Do not respond. Do not mini-mod. We are the admins here, we are not here 24/7, but please contain yourselves. You are JUST as bad as the person vague posting when you reply. Report. Leave it alone. We check on these things.

Do not vague post. We know several sites that are using us as a fighting dojo and we’re going to start disabling accounts. If you continue to do this, we’re keeping you disabled from community topics. If you can’t handle yourselves, there’s no reason to ruin it for everyone else.

You have evidence that someone needs to be talked to in the health of the community? Do not – I repeat – do not DM us. PM all staff with your evidence. We’ve had people slide into our DM’s and think that’s what happens. All of us are admins here- we have a button and icons up there. If you’re having an issue with an admin? PM the others – all of it stays on site. We do not have the time or the energy to chase down every bad apple.
