It's been 15 years since I last visited a pool. I'm both excited and nervous as heck, but I've got a kickboard and someone who knows a little CPR.

But yeah I finally beat Stella Glow, with only two casualties and a mild case of frustration. The hardest part was probably the middle stage.
Stella Glooooooooow. The only reason I wasn't that overleveled for the end bosses was that the experience curving made level grinding a literal NIGHTMARE, especially in those last few chapters. TuT Fortunately, the final boss wasn't too hard. I struggled much worse on Mr. Bad Man on both my original and New Game + playthroughs, where I was too lazy to do any grinding and am now stuck with an in-map save, RIP.

Important question. Whose ending did you get? :eyes emoji:


I grinded a bit on those 10 coin spots, which helped Rusty and Nonoka jump to 47. As for Mr. Badman...we boxed him in and I spammed Sakuya's 500 skill on him to keep his health down. Ewan's clones distracted him for a bit, too.

Idk if I wanna do NG+ rn tho. Wanna beat the games I haven't beat yet, first.

But yeah I went for Nonoka's ending. It was cute and she blushed a lot. But I also got a pic of her and the cucumber scene, and can't get Alto screams of "THEY'RE PRESSING AGAINST ME" out of my head. Like hwat

within the wires: they present a surprising lot of story and world building for the mediums they choose.

a scottish podcast: i've only started listening to this, but it's a parody of the documentary type podcasts like limetown and the black tapes and it's hilarious

station blue: psychological... horror? idk it was wild

the magnus archives: cosmic horror & my current favourite. lots of lore, lots of nasty, gross, disgusting gore. wouldn't recommend listening to it while eating, or if you can't handle lots of bugs or trypophobia


Station Blue is def psychological horror. Just a poor guy stuck in the middle of nowhere, in his own head. And then it got kinda freaky in the finale. That Halloween special, tho. The Magnus Archives is one of my faves, too. I squealed a little when Beth Eyre narrated the latest ep.

As for recommendations...I've listened to a lot, but there's only a few I can suggest to peeps.


Dark Dice: A horror actual-play DnD podcast by the Liberty and White Vault gang. They try to make it as immersive as possible.

The Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program: Another actual-play based on the Call of Cthulhu tabletop. Equal parts horrific and hilarious.

The Horror of Dolores Roach: Psychological horror about a woman named Dolores, who returns from prison to her now gentrified neighborhood. Her life slowly spirals out of control after she's taken in by an old friend who runs an empanada shop.

Darkest Night: This one is a series of stories told by the eyes of murder victims. It's very gory and I honestly wasn't too crazy about the last season, but it was fun. YMMV

Janus Descending: Space/planet exploration horror gone wrong. Gave me Alien vibes.

Liberty: Sci-fi horror. Their Tales from the Tower eps are gr8.

Mirrors: A ghost story, with three women from three generations. Adequately spooky.

Paralyzed: Story of a guy who has trouble sleeping, and whose nightmares began leaking into real life. The production quality is so-so at first, but the story itself is pretty decent.

Blackwood: Classic Scooby Gang investigates spooky town urban legend.

I am scared easily but i do like horror along the lines of supernatural but not too scary!!!

I love Night Vale! And if you like that and Kingsfalls, you might like Uncanny County and the Alexandria Archives.

And the scariest things on that list are Alice Isn't Dead, We're Alive (zombies), The White Vault, and maybe The Case of Dexter Ward. I tried not to list scarier ones, but everything else I listed is more sci-fi/mystery and less intense.

Something like The Lobster, where singles need to find a partner in 45 days, or they get turned into an animal of their choosing. They also had the ability to prolong the inevitable by catching runaways.

Or 1bitheart, because I love futuristic settings and phones that double as fashion accessories (like cat ears or horns).
