Since it is being mentioned, I appreciate people who take wanted ads so much. I donโ€™t know if anyone else has this issue, but I rarely can since my brain gets very specific ideas. These ideas tend to be specific enough that I am never sure if they will fit, so I donโ€™t tend to take them since I am also usually too nervous to ask about it. Thus people who take wanted ads to me deserve high praise.

The amount of progress I made in writing site information is a point of pride for me. Finally some sweet sweet progress! Now hopefully I can keep the train going!

Gosh, gotta love when you misunderstand a code for 1-2 hours because you thought it did the opposite of what it intended. It is working now, but after spending so long "fixing" a problem that's answer was looking me in the face, shaking me and probably at some point full-blown slapping me... I feel particularly dumb.

A long-overdue update considering my original scheduling. I apologize for the delays, personal matters came up and I found it difficult to continue the work alongside a few other writing/role-play-related projects that needed to be completed before continuing. We are currently hoping for April to be the opening month. I will not make any promises until I get through my final to-dos and get some beta testers/early access characters processed. However, here is a breakdown of the plan for when it is time and additionally the progress.

- All current on-site boards have their images and descriptions completed. This means once I complete a few other things, I can probably start getting people ready to role-play soon. This primarily consists of a few polish-ups to coding and some mild tidying of on-site information.

- Currently up for debate, but I may have a secondary update for groups soon once their information is polished since post-writing, there were a few crucial categories I wished to add to the overall information to help with lore.

- While there is currently a beta-test/early access phase occurring at the moment, there is a chance I will do a second round of beta testing and early access checks for those interested. This is mostly because the first round consists of people I am familiar with and overall, people who understand the primary goals and my information writing style beforehand. So, I have considered this to get some people who may be less familiar to have a glance over for touch-ups, specifying and clarity.

Anyways, I will try and post more updates as I polish things up and hopefully come up with a secondary early access date alongside some more information for you to eat up.

I am not sure if anyone else finds this helpful, but I swear, sometimes brainstorming with a physical notebook and writing down history, misc, power, etc ideas for characters sometimes is very calming a good way for my brain to start working for that character.

Just adding to the powers discussion- I do have to agree it is primarily the people. Sadly, the only solution is people learning to accept their characters are going to lose fights, get caught off guard, etc. I have seen it happen plenty of times, and unfortunately, people like that do occur. They want their character to be the best without realizing how that can affect other role-players and make combat-based or even similar forms of role-play incredibly boring. It is also ignoring the concept of loss being an excellent development moment for some characters; or even struggling through a fight/competition. Either way, I know I would struggle with it since to me it cheapens the interaction and overall creates boredom in an interaction unless a solution can be found; I would never even need to win.

I know I personally prefer keeping relatively equalized full power ranges. It is partially cause I do not fully trust people who join, but also because to me it is more engaging overall. Struggle is fun, I like struggle. Lol

To be honest, I write them on the site window 90% of the time. From my ProBoards days when my posts got gobbled sometimes both due to ProBoards and my poor internet, I have an automatic compulsion to do 'CRTL + A' followed by 'CRTL + C'. So I have never really been too worried about it since my brain does it on impulse.

When I am writing on my phone, I actually have a google doc where I copy the person's response so I can write my response with an easy reference. I usually set it up on my computer and adjust it for planned writing. When a post won't go through or the power goes out, I just open a notepad tab since notepad will hold things without having to save now if you keep its tab open; even if you close notepad entirely! Only time I stray from using the window entirely is on Discord replies. Then I type them straight into notepad since I find it a bit easier to reference what I wrote and what the previous post is.

Man, having one of my Pinterest boards disappear is very unhelpful. I tend to save art to try and source there, muse board stuff and clothes for my characters. However, one of my boards disappeared and it is also still there since when I go to remake it, it says I have a board by that name... Welp, hopefully this gets resolved quick!

Mmmm, I wanna work on board descriptions, but I am concerned that due to this jerk of a cough, I will lose motivation mid-coughing fit cause my throat tickled or somethingโ€ฆ If my throat wasnโ€™t so dry I would totally work on things.

Coincidentally, I was actually talking about the site I was working on with my girlfriend last night and said similar. I think admin and staff as a whole have to remember they have a lot of 'power' in community creation, activity and people generally feeling welcome. To add even, being the site's creator, you could easily be seen as a constant. Chances are, you are not going anywhere which can be reassuring for the member in question. So I have considered it a bit of a 'duty' cause I want people to feel welcome, have plots and have fun. That's why people role-play after all! Being friendly can really set a theme very quickly and that is good to see.

I don't know if anyone else does this, but sometimes if I see someone not getting plot attention, I will go talk with them and plot. I know people appreciate the reach out since I have seen it a lot before. Especially since you are entering a new space where you may not know that many people; small or big. So there is a lot of importance in the attitude and activity of an admin. It also works to making community building difficult since sometimes you do get busy and making posts can be difficult. Overall though, I do find it an interesting commentary as someone who has admined a lot and seen it a lot.
