So a few years ago i had started on a rwby rp forum when i lacked experience in being a decent admin. And since then, I've gotten better. But between then and now, that old rwby project had just been sitting there, outdated as all hell and just collecting dust... Then I had got this great punny name for a 'reboot' of this idea. Which I've deemed: 50 Shades of Grimm. And today I had spent the day just being lazy and editing the color scheme of this pre-made skin for it. And good lord its just perfect!

But to the point. Since I had got a new spark to possibly see this rebooted rwby idea through after watching the vol 6 trailer and opening. Along with the new phone game Amity Arena. I've just been craving a good rwby rp. Below I'll list stuff that I plan to be putting into play and what great things to expect!



  • Non-canon! I've always thought that the RWBY-verse has a hell of a lot of potential for original characters. So there will be no options to play canon characters from the series.
  • MMO-ish elements! Think along the lines of 'character classes' like Support characters such as healers and buffers, to tanks, melee, ect. I think this element will help people make their characters a little easier. There is also going to be "huntsmen guilds" that will replace these whole four man teams. I decided on this because making a four man team for a rwby rp will be hard as heck considering people are flaky. So, there is going to be character classes, guilds, and lastly quests for huntsmen and huntress' to do. Be it solo or in a party or guild.
  • Faunus traits. The series has revealed there is a whole bunch of types of faunus. But each of them has only one trait. For 50 shades, there will be an option of at least 2 max traits for a faunus!
  • Color naming rules There will be slight changes to this rule, that I personally think will make it easier for character creation. Rules originally state, or imply that both first and last name have to make you think of a color, sound like a color, mean a color. In 50 Shades, you will have the option to follow that rule for both first and last name. Or either one. Just so long as a part of the name follows this rule.
  • Hosted on Proboards lastly, 50 Shades of Grimm will be hosted on PB.

You certainly have my interest. Rarely can I find an OC RWBY site as most highly prefer playing canons or even include them with oc's. That ain't my game. I do quite fancy the MMO-ish elements, it'd definitely work. Can't wait to see how things turn out! c:

Glad I have some interest in this! Its nice to have. Unfortunately, theres no date for when 50 shades will be open to public. Im still in the middle of editing the skin and templates to use. But honestly, questions and suggestions would be great for anyone else interested.

I also figured that the mmo-ish elements would help a great deal to replace a lotta main things like the four-man teams.

so heres an update. Things are generally slow going at the moment. But it had occurred to me that i forgot to mention one thing. And maybe its common sense considering its a Non-canon rwby forum. But just will clear this up anyway!

50 Shades will be its own alternate universe. It will not follow canon events of the series. So the fall of beacon? Never happened in 50 shades. There will also be no "Schnee" family. It'll be all OC's and original content sides from the main major places. And maybe some user created towns and cities.

There will also be silver-eyed warriors and the maidens. But that'll come much, much later and will be rare 'roles' members can claim.

i wholeheartedly support the idea of guilds like - as cool as the four-man teams thing is, it's not really feasible in a forum rp where you don't really have control over the characters, y'know??? i've always wanted to see a rwby rp actually do something like this so i'm pretty hype to see you go that route! o7
