into RP and writing, meeting new people and screaming over scenes and character

development that damages our characters or worse. So this is my site search.



The only requirement is that said site has to be Proboards hosted!!! Anything else and

I'd end up forgetting bout it and leaving possible partners hanging if its anything other

than Proboards.



The other thing that is gotta have a welcoming community who's eager to have some

fresh blood around even though plot/storie lines are so deep and complex. Other than

that, its all free game so lets see who'll welcome my lame ass into their sites~

Might not be something your interest in, but Ikigai is something worth checking out. Its small and working on getting more active despite our slow start. We just started a "full swing" opening raffle and freebie.

I made a interest check about this a couple years ago. But figure I'll post it in quick interest check cuz I still think this is still a cool idea.

Since my new "passion" project is nearly complete, I'm coming here to ask for some help on my forum, Ikigai and would like a few extra pairs of eyes from more experienced people.

Because I'm almost done and maybe in a week or two (or less) I will likely start opening my forum up to the public. But I'm feeling like I'm missing some things that may or may not be important. So if you're interested in giving me some help. Hop in my private messaged to let me know as I only need a handful of people to look over Ikigai.

And also because I'm not ready for it to be public yet for everyone!

and I am looking to see how close to completion it so it can be open for a 'soft/beta' opening. 
In short, what im looking for is finding out if I have all the necessary info that people tend to look into before joining a rp. Because I think I got it all or majority of whats needed, but a few extra pairs of eyes is always better than my own!

So I been struggling for the better part of a week to try to get a good advertise image made up for Ikigai, but my muse isn't in graphics right now and nothing I attempt to do is looking right for me. So if anyone's up to giving me a little hand here, I will appreciate it a great deal. 

I apologize if below seems a bit demanding on what I'd like on this advertisement image to throw in plugin boards!

So I've been making huge progress on my current project and have run into a slight problem. 

So its pretty common that any roleplay forum has a shop/store where members can spent the site currency they earn through posting and activity on neat perks like more character slots or important 'canon' roles and the sorts. But the monetary system plugin that is popular has been taking down for what seems like good reasons and on top of that the current proboards skin I have decided on doesn't seem to support the monetary system in general (and I don't want to be a pain in pharos butt).

Sooo.... Im stumped on where to move forward when it comes to some kind of alternate option for my forums shop. Because there are at least a handful of things I would like to restrict (such as popular gods/goddesses) but im lacking the ideas and tools to make that possible. So im asking for help on other ideas and options that could work. I've had an idea that im iffy about already, but im not wanting to use post counts as a form of payment for these shop items. 

So lately I've put my other project; 50 Shades on hold in favor for something that I have the biggest itch for overall. Ikigai is my newest focus right now and I've already been working on it on and off the past couple weeks.

Now I’m not the best at explaining this kind of stuff... so here goes a whole mess of crap that may or may not make sense. But enough babbling.




Ikigai is a roleplay based in modern Kyoto Japan. It will be a sandbox type RP where there is no general site-wide plot and is intended on being member driven. Ikigai will offer three member groups; Yokai, Human, Kami and these I hope will cover a wide Varity but in a simple way. Like for example? A yokai? You can pick from any kind of youkai. A kitsune? Sure. A tanuki? a type of neko? go for it. You can have humans that are from over seas, like from America or some English-speaking country to add that challenge of language barriers if you'd like, you have a human that’s so spiritually aware that you can see what no normal human can.

There so many options on the kinds of characters you can decide on, but the only limits that will be in place is the big names when it comes to Japanese gods and goddesses like Amaterasu, Izanami, or even Inari because these are the kinds of big names that might effect site wide events by simply being active.

There might very well be week long "holidays/events" based off real Japan culture such as white day in march after valentines day.

There's a whole lot I can attempt to share, but for now this is it and if there's any questions then feel free to ask. I may also make new posts in this thread to give more insight on the status of Ikigai and how things are progressing, maybe even screenshots of the site.

Despite the lack of obvious interest in this, I'll be starting work on this idea of mine anyway. Starting with coming up with a name for the forum and tinkering with pre-made skins to see what will best suit.

Still, if anyone has any questions or ideas of any sort, I'll be happy to answer and possibly brainstorm.
