floressence is a site i started working on back in 2015 and then put on the back burner for the longest time. but given that the remake is coming out sometime this year i figured it would be a good time to pull it out.
floressence will be a noncanon final fantasy crystal chronicles site based on the gamecube game! towns will send out their best and brightest, ( or maybe not so best and brightest to be honest ) in order to collect myrrh for their villages in order to protect them from the miasma. the site will include dungeons and boss fights from the original game and some new fights as the site progresses depending on how it progresses forward. the site will be face claim optional but all face claims used must be animanga or video game only.
depending on how well members do in collecting their myrrh towns and new areas can actually prosper or start to fall into ruin! meaning that the site will evolve as we move forward and will diverge from what the actual game areas ended up being. there might even be ways to temporarily restore fallen and ruined areas into livable and thriving towns once more depending on how hard people want to work towards it!
all races will be available to play, clavat, selkie, yuke and lilty! with a poll on if people might want to actually play moogles as well! members will be able to form their own caravans and register them with a certain town or area and will become one of the responsible parties for making sure that town doesn't fall into ruin because of a lack of myrrh in their crystal tree.
players will be able to choose from a variety of weapons available in the crystal chronicles universe as well as use magic to defeat enemies.
though i do want opinions on a few things to iron out what will hopefully be a good experience: - would you rather have class based bonuses or stick with the traditional race bonuses in the game? - do you want to have classes at all in the game or have it more freeform so that you can swap back and forth from whatever you would like? - how would you feel about massive battle events similar to the raids in gacha games where large groups participate to take down an enemy? - how much staff involvement would you want during a dungeon? would you prefer a staff member posts regularly through it? would you prefer to do it with just your caravan members? or would you just want the staff member to come in for the final boss fight of the area? - would you prefer to go hard on the stats or have it more loose and freeform?
if you have any opinions or questions about it please just ask below! i really want to get a super sample size for this.
