waiting for the other shoe to drop means that you're waiting for an event that's related to the first, such as being woken by a housemate dropping a shoe and then waiting for the second one to fall.

in this case, it is me referring to my limited ability to skin okay designs without there being some kind of flaw that i notice after the fact or some design that goes wonky and uncodable or that i otherwise end up hating a month after i've coded it or even that my motivation dries up and leaves me with a half-finished skin i just have to live with now.

Plus side is I get two paid days off of work. Minus side is I'm off of work bc a category 2/3 hurricane will be cruising along by when comic con is this weekend.
