i know you see yourself as a fighter. well, i see myself as one, too.


customer: why did you change this one thing to ruin my entire life
me: *offering a logical explanation, very kind and patient, willing to answer further questions if necessary*
customer: well *proceeds to thoroughly drag me, my mother, and my great grandmother. remains furious the entire transaction. keeps making pointed comments throughout* ...but i know it's not your fault. it just bothers me.
me: *fighting tears* okay. thank you. have a nice day, ma'am.

I'm just reminded of

Customer: This item is faulty. I demand a refund
Me: it's a petrol item... have you emptied the fuel tank?
Customer: what does that have to do with anything?!
Me: Our refund policy, even for faulty, is that as we have no way of disposing of fuel or safely transporting items with fuel still in, is that we can't accept them. However we do sell mixing bottles or jerry can--
Customer: That's BS - I demand to speak to the manager!

At least once a month. I've got to the point I pick out who's going to demand to speak to the manager or is looking for a fight, I'll go get management first
