Hello my precious lovelies I've been rereading Bleach as of lately in my spare time because I've been itching for a Bleach styled forum. After searching around I found one or two but they weren't to my liking because of one reason or another. I also noticed there was a lack of options available these days for Bleach RP and decided when I woke up this morning that I would like to attempt making my own site and giving it a go while offering unique systems and a site wide, sandbox style plot that anyone could shape.
It may sound ambitious but I'm very passionate and dedicated to making it work and have been reading up on how to manage and run your own role-play forum (a skill I believe you can only get better with experience and I'm super fresh to all of this). I thought I'd throw my idea out to the public and see who would be interested, while the site itself is far from being done I believe it would be a good motivation factor to know some people would like to participate or even offer to guide me in the right direction of making a site.
At the start of site launch the following races/classes will be available to create:
- Hollow (Up to Adjuchas level).
- Quincy.
- Shinigami.
My idea is that these are your base races/classes and through role-playing and showing significant character development players will be given opportunities to earn milestones and 'level-up' in such a way:
- Hollow > Vasto Lorde or Arrancar.
- Quincy > Vollständig or Letzt Stil.
- Shinigami > Vizard or Prestige Shinigami (trying to figure out a better name but essentially a more powerful Shinigami).
The concept of Bleach revolves around reincarnation of the soul and keeping balance, this is something I really would love to have as a big factor on my site and as such I'm going to try and work a way in which character death doesn't mean your story is also dead. For example if as a Hollow a Shinigami kills you with their Zanpakutō they would reincarnate in Soul Society as a lost soul (then it would be possible to become a Shinigami for example) with fragments of their past lives. This is a theme I really want to explore and hope I can find a way so that if a player characters die they arent upset but rather excited for their next development. I also wouldn't have everything death enabled, I believe needless character death is unfun but in a world where you are fighting to survive you can't be reckless either.
I'm still in discussion with myself if I should incorporate a stat system or not, while I know many of you would most likely prefer not to have one I believe settings like Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Black Clover need some sort of base line for characters to compare one another so that it isn't a shitshow of just who makes the most over the top character. If there was going to be a stat system it would be as simple as possible and only used as a base guideline. Let me know your thoughts on this!
As mentioned the site plot will be very member and story driven, I love Dungeons and Dragons and as a GM i love it when someone throws a spanner in the works and causes my whole story to change. I will be making important NPCs at first for major canon positions but that doesn't mean someone could over throw them for example. I also have decided that managing thirteen different divisions in my universe of Bleach wouldn't be feasible and to promote player interaction have decided the Gotei 13 will instead be the Gotei 6. Below is a small synopsis of the overview of the world thus far but remember it can be dragged into any direction and personally I wouldn't call it a plot because I hope that members shape the world instead of staff through role play and site events.
For as long as time has stretched, Shinigami have fought to keep balance in the world by purifying souls. Continuing the Cycle of Reincarnation and maintaining a strict balance so that the spiritual world and Earth do not merge and cause catastrophic events. Yet these days tensions between Shinigami and Quincy are on the verge of breaking a ceasefire that has been honored for generations and while constant strife between the two factions continues Hollows are becoming even more aggressive.
I would also like to throw it out I love sites where liquid time is a thing, and it will be something I shall support also. I was thinking of players being able to also write historical threads about how their character was in the past if they wanted to. I'm a big supporter of character development is what makes role playing fun and I'm going to strive to give other people the chance to experience that.
Thanks, for the time!
