• is a juunishi, or "cursed" by the spirit of the dragon from the chinese zodiac legend. transforms into a seahorse when embraced by the opposite sex.
• traditionally a doctor to the sohma family and caretaker to the member who is cursed by the god
• is capable of wiping memories of those who are not cursed through contact and concentration, in order to keep their affliction a secret
• suggested: may have abnormal hair that matches the color of their animal form

The Snake

• is a juunishi, or "cursed" by the spirit of the snake from the chinese zodiac legend. transforms into his/her animal form when embraced by the opposite sex.

The Horse

• is a juunishi, or "cursed" by the spirit of the horse from the chinese zodiac legend. transforms into his/her animal form when embraced by the opposite sex.

The Monkey

• is an outcast to the sohma family and must wear a juju bracelet to seal the cat's "true form". unlike others who are cursed by the zodiac spirits, the zodiac spirit of the cat holds a secret monstrous form that is only revealed when his/her bracelet is removed.

The Deer

• is a juunishi, or "cursed" by the spirit of the deer. unlike the others, he/she transforms into his/her animal form when embraced by the same sex.
• is an outcast to the sohma family and recently just appeared in this generation of cursed sohmas. is not originally a part of the zodiac legend.

The Psychic

• is an outsider who knows nothing about the curse, but has innate psychic or precognitive abilities and may feel that there is something strange about the sohma family.
• suggested: the whole school, perhaps the whole town, knows that he/she is "not normal" and is weary of him/her.

The Delinquient

• is an outsider who knows nothing about the curse, and used to be a part of the yakuza, but broke out of the infamous japanese gang for unknown reasons and knows how to handle a scrimmage or two.
• suggested: the whole school, perhaps the whole town, knows that he/she used to be a part of a criminal organisation and may believe they have "violent tendencies".

The Student Council President

• is an outsider who knows nothing about the curse, and is popular in Kaibara High school due to their declaratory duties. They help manage the student body and make sure certain school criteria and rules are met, while also in charge of school fundraisers and events.
• suggested: they may be admired or hated for their position in the school
