Would you be interested in having affiliates from a network that are updated by a curator, as well as a place to keep track of how many hits you are getting? They would also be able to fit in line with other affiliates. Using a CSS Stylesheet and Jcink redirects i've created a mock up of the model, and it will fit seamlessly alongside other affiliates. If you look at animangads.boards.net/ the first two affiliates are using this model to show an example*. What you do not see is that there are two additional button codes that are hiding, but they already have boards I can turn into redirect links. When it comes time to ad an affiliate I just have to update a background image and set the jcink redirect feature to the desired site. If I were to make something more than a model, i'd leave room for about 100 slots, which is about double what animangads has ever had affiliated to it at one time. The big deal breaker is that I can't think of a way to generate something like hover text by pure css, I don't think it would be possible to update the title across a bunch of sites. *The one that you see on the hover for Tutorialists I added manually because I made them part of my experiment without asking.
