My ideas r all over the place so forgive in advance. Anywho. Been sitting on a concept that I think would be a lot of fun and engaging for the community - based on Elden Ring, The Legend of Vox Machina, The Legend of Zelda, and The Elder Scrolls. Enter: Chiralium - a freeform (you pick ur powers- the rp community is mature enough to do so) statless, plot forward  high fantasy post apocalypse site that relies heavily on rotating community input. Enter the mechanics n deets.

THE BULWARK: The Bulwark is humanity's last foundation for existence. With a population of ~400 a lot of Bulwark is tended to through hard work and struggles. Fertile soil with a never ending crop supply, an always flowing river that drops into nothingness, a forest full of fresh berries, game to hunt, giant chains connected to the Bulwark through massive pitons suspended over the Void are some of the amenities found in Bulwark. Usually there's a mass dinner every evening where the Voidwalkers are tended to, allowed to talk, and are otherwise treated by the community for keeping them safe and rebuilding their home. (These are community open threads so folks can interact that typically wouldn't, everyone is fighting for the same goal, even if their methods are different) There's no monetary system, as civilians work in their own respective fields to keep Bulwark efficient and functioning. It is to note, that every time an explored location is Voided, more landmass and even new buildings are added to The Bulwark.

THE VOID: The Void, Nothingness, The Edge, and True Zero are all different monikers for what The Bulwark is chained to. Some scholars believe that The Bulwark has a protective spell cast over it by an ancient Archmagi, while others believe that Bulwark is kept safe by the providence of some divine being. The only sure thing is that the Void is voracious, vacuous and uncaring. Those who become *voided* are usually never seen again, and if they are, are fragmented hollow halves of their former self.

THE RIFTS: Rifts, simply put, are portals connecting The Bulwark to (depending on narrator) the old world, worlds of chaos, inhospitable zones, divine (or not so divine) realms, different planes of existence, and otherwise places that only Voidwalkers could survive in for any extended period of time. A more apt name for Voidwalkers would be Riftwalkers, but it doesn't have the same ring to it, as Voidwalkers are the only beings that can pass through Rifts hence everyone remains on Bulwark alongside the amount of danger The Rifts hold.

Rift Zones are entirely randomized on a d100 x 4 Excel spreadsheet I have handcrafted and will keep private to add to the mystery and excitement of the mechanic. However; most Rifts are given the following formatting. Landmark - Biome - Risk - NPC(s). Every time a 'Void' location is explored for the first time, a roll is performed by staff and given to the first EXP (exploration thread) in a Void Board - after the first roll folks making new threads in that board may elect to have an additional Landmark - Risk - NPC roll but must follow the original Biome foundation. Up to five threads in a Board can have unique landmarks and risks, afterwards a location is maxed out.

Example: Kenji Ito begins an EXP thread in a fresh Void Zone - Staff roll a 72 - 46 - 3 - and 1(for yes). This means Kenji is given the prompt of Obelisk in a Rolling Hill biome that has a moderate risk but there are Npcs. From there Kenji can continue to roleplay out the discovery of that zone with their partner (or make the thread open). Staff then names the zone calling it Devil's Spire off of the obelisk. Meanwhile Suzanne has joined the board Devil's Spire but wants their own landmark to explore, getting a 58 - 1 and 2 ( for no) this means Suzanne is given the prompt for her thread Cathedral - No Risk - No NPCs. So Suzanne and her partner explore an abandoned cathedral that's located somewhere in the rolling hills. If this occurs 3 more times, the board 'Devil's Spire' becomes maxed out, but threads can still be made and persist in that zone if people find the setting intriguing.

VOIDWALKERS: Voidwalkers are humanity's last hope against total erasure. They come from all walks of life and vary drastically despite making up 1/8th of Bulwark's population. Voidwalkers can be Bulwark natives, come from a Rift that's now sealed or even void, and even in some cases from a different universe that was completely nulled and in contrast, isekai'd from a healthy world and timeline. Voidwalkers vary in appearance, training levels and fortitudes, but most if not all Voidwalkers are born with innate talents and willpower to venture into The Rifts.

VOIDSPAWN: The 'risk' found in Rifts while exploring. Voidspawn are hostile beings that vary in terms of appearance, intelligence, and natural abilities. Typically a Voidspawn matches the location it's found in and in accordance with the risk level of the location. So a Low Level risk in a Rolling Hill zone could be wolves, slimes, dire-rabbits, etc. Now there are times when Staff will control Voidspawn in a Rift Zone - this is primarily reserved for high risk zones. Now Voidspawn the higher the risk, the more influential they are. Often but not always a High Risk zone means encountering something unique like a dragon or demigod, and monsters such as those have the potential to accelerate the site's lore and plot.

OBLIVION EVENTS: Oblivion Events are entirely OOC and participated upon in our discord server. Every three months, an Oblivion Event is held where the community can void a particular location to start it anew, this can come from an uninteresting roleplay area, a particular theme not vibing, to remain fresh, give more lore and backstory, explore an entirely new zone, add to Bulwark as a whole, and otherwise keep everything moving and original. If a vote is close, or ends in a draw, the staff team will decide which location is void.

and that's it - for now. Kinda throwing pebbles at community feedback to see if the idea is worth pursuing, and I'm sleepy.
Edit: If u have questions, ideas, etc don't be afraid to put them here or through DM? I don't get offended easily and creative feedback or comments r appreciated
