heavy agree. honestly i love chrome but MAN does that shit make my computer eat ass
Chrome has always decided that a RAM leak was better to just ignore. I moved to Brave and it's a chromium browser too but it's got wicked crypto points, the same basis, and it's got a inbrowser ad blocker that's amazing. Honestly though, I have to give Edge some bonus despite it's not supporting some CSS stuff that it's not utter butt.
Edge is quite up to date on CSS though, as far as i can see. I think Chrome, Safari, Edge, Opera and Firefox are the top browsers that are always priority for developers. It's just that, Chrome is too much for the RAM LMAO.

, google is just so good with their advertising, tbh. Their search engine is quite flawless too (but u can always change default search engines of browsers). I think, at this point, everyone else that doesn't know about RAM management just trusts the brand of google (even though their UI kinda sucks compared to Edge and Safari)

the thing is that the proposed "new way" also actually acts like an affiliate. Like a site or a webpage with JUST affiliate with functionality such as tags wherein if you click "fantasy" it'll show fantasy sites, or something like that. With these, instead of clicking "first links > post" u can just reserve that for a page that will ACTUALLY introduce your site thoroughly outside of posters, slogans, or a few paragraphs that we are using right now.

It's convenient for BOTH members and staff.

Also @sharply dressed man, did someone say it? I believe what people mentioned was that this "new" way is GAINING popularity amongst them, and that it WORKS. also pretty much at this point, these are all just hypotheses, let's not get emotionally attached, okay? 😭 It's not like people are gonna abandon their plug boards immediately 😶

Frankly, those advertising on rpg-d have way different cultures than those advertising on tumblrs. It's a different community altogether. And did anyone say that this method is just being introduced? Not like everyone is gonna JUMP SHIP to it instantly.

And tbh, it's unfair to say that this "new form" of advertising is "inside the fishbowl", it's literally new and the one we haven't explored yet. LMFAO.

emoji is part of internet language now and like all visual communication, its meaning is up for you to understand depending on context.

the trick for me is i take people online at face value. It's gonna be too stressful for me otherwise to just ALWAYS be on-guard and critique each and every word and emojis people use.

The only time I basically care about /looking in-depth/ online is when it comes to someone intimate like my friends, etc. bc shit it can ruin ur relationships LMFAO!!

I also don't think emojis and online slangs differ much from how real people/friends interact you know? I have many friends who say they're fine but they're not, and their attitudes reflect online too, just with an added emoji this time.
