Behold: a system that could be adapted. If people are serious about this (which, judging by the notifications I'm getting, I'd say yes), I had a site I was developing but I'd be totally down to work with someone for this. I can't skin Jcink for the life of me though; I can barely code anymore as it is. i.... honestly wouldn't want a system that intense. i'm not really a fan of dnd-esque systems for rping, however ignorable they may be in context, just because i can't be bothered with them and i'm the sort of person who can't in good conscience force people to use a system i'm not willing to use (or give the option to ignore it). plus i'd be wary of min-maxers or powerplayers because i've had too much experience with abuse from my years in pokemon and mmo sites. oops this is why i've been high-key dreading trying to put serious thought into systems, they're so hard to balance in a way i'm satisfied with
jcink has a lot of premade skins, both on here and other resource sites, so even if you don't have a custom skin at first (and i would actually almost advise a premade so you get a feel for how established the site actually ends up being), you'll be okay.
..... i'm already seeing that i'm gonna end up wordbarfing the ideas i had going for af soon oops I have a lot of experience with MMO sites as well. If you're doing a site purely for the lore aspect and not for the MMO aspect, I wouldn't suggest putting in quests and systems and what not; I would suggest running it purely like a fantasy site which just so happens to be set in the FFXIV universe. Let people do their personal growth through writing as opposed to numbers. Regardless, when I posted up the system, I meant more using it as a reference to pick apart to build something and not so much using it as a D&D system. As much as I'd love to run the experiment of a D&D system on a forum someday, I know there's a lot of people who wouldn't want that.
