i've made a tab component with semantic HTML. this won't be usable on y'all's posting templates, but you can use it on your sites as you please. all you have to do is update the ID and aria attributes if you add new tabs.

i have the distinct pleasure of teaching myself how to build a GUI with java (spoiler: it's not a pleasure) so that i can finish my object-oriented programming course from last semester with an A. the professor was kind enough to grant me an "incomplete" grade pending the completion of this project by june. it's not a good time, though. java is a messy language and this interface stuff is even messier. BUT i will do my best 😤

i now have the best quote to summarize how java and javascript are completely unrelated:

javascript was called livescript until netscape (the company that commissioned its creation) decided to capitalize on the popularity of java in 1995, leading to a lifetime of suffering for me. they are completely unrelated languages.

the CDC says that all fully-vaccinated adults can stop wearing a mask inside and outside (unless the law or an establishment requires otherwise)

but i'm gonna keep wearing a mask because i love that people can't breathe directly into my mouth anymore

yeah, you'd have to either link or import the web font file directly. if you don't have access to the site's stylesheet or HTML, an image is your best bet!

anyone else need help with figuring something out? i stepped through creating basic custom HTML elements (ex. here).

in other news, i need to start on my final java project from last semester's programming class... which is incomplete otherwise........ but what if i didn't do that and did literally anything else ??
