hey there, hi there, ho there. well met, fam.

i guess it is finally time to have an intro thread. i tried to avoid it, since i am awful at these things, but like all might it is time to smile and say I AM HERE. so hey. i'm here.

in the roleplay world, i usually go by like miji or mori— seeing my hover and icon, you can probably see why i choose the latter. (that is my son. my boy). but anyhow, feel free to call me whatever. i'm totally not picky.

i yaaaaam soon to be 25 (an october bb), and i'm currently workin' for the man every night and day. in my free time, i like crying over shoujo manga and not loving myself. i'm recently getting more into watching anime again, as i took a hella long break from it. and i mostly like comedies/anything having to do with demons tbh.

my major fandoms are like, harry potter. percy jackson. a song of ice and fire. fantasy stuff like that. i also tend to get into high school settings and basic slice of life, but harry potter in specific, i always come back to.

i've been roleplaying for like 11 yrs now, so maybe you have seen me rambling on before. if not, 'sup. i start talking and never stop. pls be warned.

alright... i literally cry over everything, but i will go into some specifics:

manga—

furuba. i got so worked up over this one that i legitimately had to set it aside to cry for a bit. like... it's so good, so sad, but so satisfying in the end. i live and would die for this series.

hana yori dango. this one doesn't seem super sad, and tbh i don't find it super sad. but there are parts that really just get you. (the drama also had me cryin like a lil binch tho so... i have no excuse)

anime—

devilman crybaby. if you've seen it, i'm sure you know which bit in particular did me in. it was rough.

tengen toppa gurren lagann. i will never watch this anime ever again. it hurts so bad that all i choose to live with are my memories of it. i still feel the ache in my chest over it.

boku no hero academia. okay i just recently started watching this but the number of times i've cried over it already are so immense. i can't even believe i'm still a functioning human being. deku's mom mentioned something like passing out 7 times during the cavalry race (2 from dehydration) and i truly felt that shit.

movies—

hercules. i know its been years, but c'mon fam. you can't tell me that young herc singing about how he can go the distance doesn't get you. like... i really believe in him so much. i lov that boi

rogue one. i keep rewatching it. and i keep sobbing over the exact same parts even though i know they're coming. this movie wrecked me. and it continues to wreck me bc what is self control? i wish i knew.

Ugh... it's so hard to say.

I totally feel you on the bad want ads thing. I've had it happen many times where someone will join up, claim the want, then just dip without even going through with the character. Like, I understand real world problems or a simple change of mind, but a heads up would be nice.

On the character being completed and then just not fitting (the char itself or the roleplayer), that gets more difficult. I try my best to go through with it anyway, since they did go through all of the effort. But I do tend to lose a lot of muse over it. Esp if the other person isn't all that enthusiastic. Like, they just thought the idea was good but aren't actually into roleplaying any of it out.

I scarcely make want ads now; if there's someone I'm close with, I'll pitch back and forth ideas with them during a regular plotting session. If it comes to a new ship being created, I'm glad. If not, it's just nice to get the ideas out there.

If I do put up ads, I ask that the potential taker at least speak with me on like messenger or pm or something to see if we click first. If they are really into the idea. Get their own character plots. Basically, to make sure we have the concept come together as one, but you still have your own character to work with. Not just a blank skeleton you're slapping a face on. (I like things to feel legit. Not forced.)

It probably seems really fussy, but I'm so tired of being disappointed, lol.

Anyway, yeah. I kinda just grit my teeth and deal if worst comes to it. I genuinely love the characters I make, so it's not like I'm keen on killing them off or even deleting them. And if a plot totally doesn't go as planned, I'll just save it for elsewhere, I reckon.

But, yeah. I'm not super into throwing up wants anymore. I try to work off of chemistry and see if that gets me better results, haha.
