UPDATED PLOT

For eons, the world of myth coexisted alongside mankind. Hidden beneath the misty curtain of the Veil, monsters and gods schemed and warred, their battles unnoticed by those not touched by the divine.

That all changed on January 1st, 2007. At the stroke of midnight, the Veil fell. The how and why remain mysteries even to the gods. But the consequences were immediate. Hysteria and confusion amongst the populace as myth bled into the mundane.

Mortals, once nothing but an afterthought, became impossible to ignore. Their panic turned to anger as they demanded answers. Ones that came not from the gods but their progeny.

Halfbloods. Called forth by their divine parents, the demigods became ambassadors between the two worlds. Over eight long months, they've fostered a fragile peace. But it will not last.

Many view the Halfbloods as another attempted manipulation. These mortals refuse to be placated and have begun to rise up. They gather under the name Monolith and destroy or subjugate anything related to the world of myth.

That says nothing of the gods themselves. While some search for the cause of the Veil's destruction, others revel in the chaos.

So many unknowns, yet one thing is certain.

A new age of myth is dawning.

Heyo! o/ I wanted to share the finished/updated synopsis for the sites plot. As you can see, I've got a far clearer picture of the site's setting.

That said - I've decided to hold off on having monsters as playable. Between the Halfbloods, Mundies, and Gods they'll be plenty of options for everyone. Although I am realizing that allowing members to make gods and demigods could lead to ooc-drama. Not sure how I'll handle that, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it ig.

I don't expect to give another update for awhile.

Oh - and thanks to everyone who has shown interest ^^ It has me very excited to work on the site and get things up running.

UPDATE

I've decided to go with Proboards as the host. Not only that, but I've opted to go for minimalist skin for the site. It'll save on time plus harken back to the early 2000s like the setting.

If all goes according to plan, I should have the site open in early December. I'll give another update when I've got something a bit more substantial to show.
