So what had he done to supplement that loss? That hole in his heart that could never be filled? Instead, he filled that void with anger and resentment. He’d lashed out, hurt others, himself. That hole only grew deeper. He saw what he was doing. He’d always known, but he didn’t care. He never wanted to make himself feel better. He didn’t want help. He only wanted her back.

He just wanted her back.
