"You're... so wrong," she pulled back after her existential hiatus had run its course, swiftly wiping away the remnants of tears and any evidence that she had ever so much as committed an emotion.

Hi I'm Noire and I only write overly sensitive sadbois lying to themselves about it and emotionally repressed women who didn't schedule this breakdown today because they still have shit to do

What should a 2-forum category look like?

Inevitably, that'll be your blockade, and that's where you have a couple different options based on how you want to handle gaps - including "I'll just never make a category with 2 forums".

If you like that solution, then all you have to do is slap in an extra:
catboards > forumrow:last-child {
grid-column-start: 1;
grid-column-end: 4;
}

... and your last forum will always stretch all 3 columns in the grid, although this will leave gaps if you don't have a clean number of 3n+1 forumrows. Grid just... wasn't made to distribute empty space like that.

You could also specify an exact grid layout per category, but IMO this is the same problem of "and now you have to babysit the main index literally every time you add/remove/change forums", which to me isn't a good approach.

For me personally, I'd use flex, which first requires changing your catboards from grid to flex:
catboards {
display: flex;
margin: 0px auto 150px;
gap: 3vw;
flex-wrap: wrap;
justify-content: center;
}

.. Then adding this to forumrows to work with flex:

flex: 1 1 30%;

This attribute says "make each forumrow initially 30%, but they can grow or shrink to fill empty space". IE, if there's just one element in the row, it'll grow to 100%, and 2 elements each grow to ~50%ish, minus gap math, etc.

Still a lot more styling you can do, again just depends on how you want empty space to be handled.

do you not just listen to your liked music on shuffle? i find that it's the only way that satiates my constantly shifting mood

Sometimes, def been doing that lately because "why make choice when just need noise"

But I'm also a playlist-aholic and keep separate listings for all the Big Genresโ„ข as well as specific RP muse stuff, because sometimes I realize "hey it's been a while since-" and throw on something shuffle just keeps dodging

do you ever listen to music that you know is objectively like. extremely subjective and know most people would think is horrible and you're just like

The absolute joy when you find friends you can share your unfiltered playlists with

Sometimes, being an expat is fun because your friends will be all "Omg, I finally found some!! I've only heard of them on TV, I can't wait to try it!!!" and it's just a bag of gd funyuns

If you feel like you've become a 24/7 help desk, set clear expectations on when members can expect help from you. Pick a day of the week, or a time frame like 48 hours.

+1 for setting Office Hours; I am a huge advocate of setting app review blackout days for any forum where profiles take more than 5 mins to read and process

I used to be a profile reviewer on one of those lore-heavy, canon-divergent AU fandoms, and the other reviewer and I talked about how we straight-up felt guilty any time we wanted to just post to our threads or be an actual member of our own forum any time there were new apps sitting in queue. One day, we just agreed we wouldn't do reviews on weekends anymore and amended the rules to communicate as such, and it helped cut down on the mental load so much

Bonus points on being an easy way to out people who can't wait a couple days to hear back about things, too

really reinvigourating me to try again on my "play all the FFs!!!!" quest

Been playing FFV re:this and I am utterly convinced it's the "they tried to make an open-world RPG but it was 20 years too early" sheep of the family

It's the only way I can rationalize how vague the next objective can sometimes be combined with how early they chuck ships at you, not to mention just... how many places exist you don't actually have to visit, ever

10/10 game though, Faris, Galuf, Blue Mage, and Bridge Theme are some top-shelf competition to beat

Extremely jealous of how ridiculously photogenic long-haired cats are
Like they could be mid-sneeze and it'll just seem like a silly roar capturing their playful side with that kinda hair game going 24/7
