Grande is an Animanga urban fantasy faction-focused roleplay where most of the roleplay is in the city of the same name, The World City, Grande. Grande is a world where the supernatural exists, Gods do answer prayers, and a world reeling from a war that almost destroyed the world 50 years ago. A place where factions vie for the Grand Leyline, for humanity, and the direction of the planet as a whole.

I (currently, with no signs otherwise) intend for there to be "people" (for lack of a better word, I guess) that are completely consumed by Harmont that are capable of things like this, yes.

Colour me interested like a rainbow.
the perfect opportunity to break out the new crayola set
this sounds cool! i have a question! can we create an eldritch being in a human body? (you don't know how much i wanna write a character like this...)

A town locked between dimensions, where time has a way of bending, and memory is just as unreliable as time itself. From the outside, Harmont looks like an abandoned, fog-laden relic, a place shrouded in rumor and mystery. But from within, it is alive: a bustling place full of life, yet unsettling in ways that defy explanation.
The story of ECHOES of NOWHERE is driven by characters who find themselves in Harmont’s grasp. Some souls have been drawn in by curiosity; others, by some measure of misfortune; others still held captive by Harmont itself. Here, characters must face the unraveling of their own memories, their identities shifting as Harmont draws them deeper under its control. As time passes, they must confront their growing sense of belonging to a town they did not choose, yet can’t fully escape.
There’s room in Harmont for everyone to lose themselves in the fog…
Denizens…
• ECHOBORN: Dark, twisted creatures found within the bounds of Harmont, born of the town’s residual energies. Time, emotions, and memories lost to the Fog give birth to an array of horrors that torment residents and claim new souls for the ever-hungry Heart of Harmont.
• VEILBOUND: Citizens who, due to their time trapped within Harmont, have become “permanent fixtures” to the town. Because they are now existentially tied to the Heart of Harmont, they share, in part, in its power over the town, manifesting in “super-human abilities”. After enough time, Veilbound become Echoborn.
• THE LOST: Those who first enter Harmont are known as “the Lost”. Their abilities are much the same as they had prior to entering the town, but slightly enhanced due to some mysterious force. Will they find a means of escape, or are they “doomed” to become Veilbound?
The process of moving “up (or…down?) the chain” occurs through death. Harmont is greedy, and does not allow a soul to fully depart until It is “done with it”. All who die in Harmont awake in the Fog before returning to the town, losing something of their identity with each successive death. Eventually, Harmont will commit a soul to the Echo, leading them to becoming one of the Echoborn.
• Site will be on JCink Prem • All the particulars are, essentially, complete • More to come…
big worldbuilding served to be too much of a burnout funnel, stewing on something smaller.
can’t find the exact things i might compare it to but the gist is: - focused on one city - mythology vibes (specifically nibiru/“the crossing” of babylonian mythos) - spooky portals that make spooky monsters come out (kingdom hearts-esque vibe maybe?) - parallel universes overlapping kind of thing, i suppose - spooky stuff gives people powers - tl;dr gotta fight the darkness so it doesn’t eat the world up, i reckon
