UPDATE TIME:

the forum is near the end of construction and the rules and lore bits about done as well. at my current rate, i am optimistic to get the ball rolling by next weekend (i’ll have a lot more free time with the holiday next week).

• i am just about finished with the plot/timeline. give a bit of background on events folks can tie back to in profiles and what have you, yes yes yes;
• the mobile suits are just about finished too. there are a handful of units for each faction, as well as units that are civilian-use (some of those can be modified for combat);
• the G.U.N.D.A.M. Project is getting fleshed out with the lore, and the operating system possessed by what the original franchise typically dubs "Gundams" is likewise under works under the name aOS (ANAMNESIS OS).

meaning of the two acronyms, and a snippet:
G.U.N.D.A.M.: Galactic Unified Network for Defense and Advanced Mechanics;
GUNDAM is short for "Galactic Unified Network for Defense and Advanced Mechanics" and is originally a product of the GPC. As humanity spread throughout the Milky Way, the terms of the program were expanded to include the many different Colonies. This program would eventually be exploited by the rebel forces calling themselves Vanguard and the shadow op known as NEXUS.

A.N.A.M.N.E.S.I.S. Operating System Advanced Neural Archive and Memory Navigation System for Informational Synthesis
ANAMNESIS is an advanced operating system created by the GPC during the development of more sophisticated mobile suits. The goal of this operating system was to enhance, in its pilots, knowledge acquisition, decision-making, and intellectual growth. Given the potential risks of the system, it was tested strictly with pilots who were known to have no families, thus making unexpected "disappearances" easier to cover up. With the proliferation of the war, the system fell into the hands of Vanguard and NEXUS, though the former lacks the resources necessary for cracking the system's security features.
