mmm went to school, school had a fire in one of the buildings so they closed off that building, went to class in another building, ten minutes later alarm went off, evacuated the whole campus, news goes crazy, classes are cancelled today and tomorrow

news says they think it could be an arson

Usually i'm ok about setting aside some time to do at least SOME study but today my head's been like a sopping mess of wet wool that simply won't absorb anything further beyond a terribly done video interview that happened earlier today

rn, i'm so glad for the tub of brownies i bought even though i knew i shouldn't have :/

Mom: if you don't go and research on how to do these things, you'll never be able to do them!!!

Me: *researches the things and finds out that the cost for the cheapest travel & accommodation alone is a full year's worth of tuition at LEAST, plus the area to stay at is apparently a bit sketchy, and food & other costs still haven't been considered, and you even look at camping sites to stay at*

Mom: do u wanna go eat this rly expensive but rly good pizza in a place an hour away and btw we probably won't be back home until late bc shopping
Me, internally: i should do the 5 pages of math homework and work on the Java lab to prepare for the midterm and study for Networking and —

i feel like i want to MAKE things or DO things like be creative!!!! or learn something new!!!! or finally finish a project!!! or spend quality family time!!!!! but all i'm doing is sitting around and i feel like i'm not moving forward...

those days when you wanna be an extreme recluse and introvert and just have some quiet, peaceful alone time where you don't have to deal with social constructs and making small talk and pretending to be interested in conversations

today was the last day of my volunteer ski instructing and im so sad to see the students go :'<
