Fate/ site where there are actual consequences to your actions in an overarching plot, no retcons of your entire existence if a loophole is discovered, people agree to push the story forward for the sake of a narrative instead of competition, and no one cares if your Servant is genderbent or not?

I wonder if anyone else here has been playing Counter Side, and have been thinking of whether or not its premise makes for a good RP site...
It's probably one of the better freeform roleplay concepts out there due to the breadth of Counter powers.

People could establish groups (like the Freedom Riders) or represent "Canon" companies. It doesn't even have to be the ones in the game; the whole world is dealing with the threat of Corruption Rays and the Counterside and whatnot.

There's even categories of Corrupt Object if you wanted to have a mission board thing.

Oh please tell me! please please I love CoC tho. Own all the books for 7th edition so far and even made my own dice for it x.x I have a serious problem. But please word vomit your campaign idea to me I really wanna hear it! So few people play CoC instead of like D&D.... It's underappreciated here.

Haha. I don't know if it's appropriate to put it in this Random Thought thread of all things - but here was the pitch:

"Unabashedly based on Agatha Christie stuff, or When They Cry (since I'm an anime fan, the latter moreso)

The year is 2022. The disparate descendants of the recently-passed Martin Durandal - affluent entrepreneur and famed businessman - have returned to the estate where they were born to discuss the matter of inheritance. Several hundred acres of land nestled in the wilderness of Maine and across several miles of dirt road hides a palatial manor secluded from civilization. Modern amenities are rather scarce at the estate; mobile coverage is poor and rainstorms frequently make much of the terrain impassable by standard vehicles. Making the journey home wasn't easy, but when millions of dollars are at stake, one does what they must.

However, Martin was always a man fascinated with mysteries and the occult. If anything, the manor was proof of that, with many rooms that his children and grandchildren were always instructed to avoid; strange ramblings, weird noises and unexplainable occurrences at night that left them all with distinct memories of their eccentric patriarch and his home. As expected, Martin put a stipulation as to who inherits his fortune; obviously made to incite distrust and infighting between the potential inheritors. The family must arrange to stay the month in the mansion without issue. Those who last to the end will receive the fortune.

It seemed like a sweet deal, but of course there's a catch. What could possibly make their stay an issue?"

The Shattered Star; the symbol representing the thirteen polities that make up the Outer Colonies. These feudal states have combined together into one entity under Pendragon, however, each state retains relative autonomy under its individual governor, one of the Knights of the Void.
[break][break]
For reference, life on GCE-controlled Earth is much like it is now with the amenities of future technology that have been advanced to over the course of a few hundred years; while Outer Colonies life has become extremely warlike and focused on pragmatic technologies with the purpose of sustaining their populace through a mantra of efficiency and maximum output.
[break][break]
While the Earth maintains a global administrative force that rarely sees changes in personnel or structure over the years, the inheritance of rulers to their territories in the Outer Colonies is based largely on medieval feudalism, meaning the title of Knight of the Void comes and goes to the candidate most suitable via the region's endemic selection law.
[break][break]
Pendragon, Kay, Bedivere, Percival, Lancelot, Tristan, Gawain, Agravain, Mordred, Gaheris, Gareth, Palamedes, Galahad. Each is largely responsible for their territory, sometimes sharing a moon and neighboring objects and maintain military "levies", which are beholden to the call of Pendragon when they are required. Though people will respect a powerful leader, the range of age, gender and experience can vary widely between the Knights.
[break][break]
While all the Knights have an obligation to obey Pendragon, they may not necessarily share his or her views. Internal conflict after the Shattered Star was formed is still commonplace, leading some to believe that the symbolism is quite apt for the circumstances.

The Kinetic General Hardsuit & Tactical System has been the workhorse of the Solar System for nearly a hundred years after humans finally left the pull of Earth's orbit; KNIGHTS as they are known formed the backbone of starbase and colonial development on the habitable moons of Jupiter and Saturn. The populations of these space colonies burgeoned after war had left most of the Earth's surface uninhabitable, leading some to believe that space was the new and final frontier, after all.
[break][break]
However, when a mysterious phenomenon isolated the Outer Solar System from its inner counterpart, contact was lost with the colonies in one fell swoop, leaving only Earth and its near neighbors to negotiate peace in order to ensure the survival of the human species.
[break][break]
More than six centuries passed after that before the phenomenon fell away; by then, those on Earth had reconciled their differences with one another and contributed towards the Global Contingency Union, seeking now to return to space and discover what had happened to their missing fellows.
[break][break]
To their surprise, what they found was war, once again.
[break][break]
Centuries of conflict and an attempt to survive by controlling the dwindling resources of the Outer colonies had resulted in a war-like, feudal society ruled by twelve governors known as the Knights of the Void, serving under one mysterious figure known as Pendragon. When the Earth and its verdurous restoration finally showed itself, they were quick to leap upon claiming it as their rightful territory, deeming it "New Avalon". Poised to sweep into Earth space with their machines honed for battle over half a millennia, tensions are at an all time high.
[break][break]
So begins a fight for supremacy; spurred on by the grudges of past mistakes and an era of isolation and paranoia. Pendragon cannot be trusted, but can the GCE right the wrongs of years past - or be doomed to serve as the stepping stone to the Knights' New Avalon?

saw this as i was drafting up mecha stuff of my own; cool concept! gundam vibes certainly, but also it reminds me of break blade, where the magic-less can't operate mecha, or the imaginary numbers from front mission 3 who have specialized genetic makeups to become "perfect" combat pilots.

I suppose a question is; how minimalistic can apps get while also still holding a "major" canon position?

In addition, are there any expectations hoisted upon the people in - what we'll call them - weighted roles? In many sites I've seen, people will snap up a position for the inherent power or maneuverability, and then squat there, doing their bare minimum of activity.
