Hi all! I don't know if this is the right spot for this thread, but I couldn't find a better one, so please feel free to move it if necessary!

I'm Opal or Morph, and I've recently drawn up the lore for a high fantasy site that's very non-traditional. It takes inspiration from D&D setting Eberron, if you've heard of it!

This site will be an 18+ high fantasy roleplay, with a focus on intrigue and pulp adventure. I've got multiple playable species, immersive lore, and optional DMed exploration and combat events. Faceclaims will be illustrated, though not focused on animanga, instead any semi-realistic art style will be allowed.

I'm nonbinary and queer and so the community will heavily focus/center LGBTQ+ characters and narratives, and trans characters WILL be involved. Trans characters are written into lore. We will not be neglecting the trans part of this community.

If you're interested, DM me on Discord at Morph#4098 or join the discord! Here's the blurb I've got so far:

Five years ago, a huge explosion of necromantic energy known as the Withering forced thousands to flee their homes as it unleashed plagues and monstrosities. Kingdoms were shattered and their rulers sent scrambling as the blast consumed everything in front of it.

Now, five disparate cultures take shelter in Alabaster, a port city founded and run by pirates. Tensions mount as unfamiliar peoples are forced into close quarters, exacerbated by the constant threat of the Withered, monstrosities that emerge in a constant stream from the dangerous Withered Lands.

A university of magic attempts to gather arcane scientists from all cultures to try and understand the Withering, but their people are hunted by an inquisition that believes irresponsible magic use is exactly what caused the Withering, and that such flagrant danger must be ended for the safety of all. A crownless Crown Princess seeks to legitimize her path to the throne by any means necessary, but whether or not her empire exists anymore is up for debate. A shoal of merpeople, tired of being hunted by pirates, circles closer to profit off of the landfarersโ€™ weakness.

Will you help unite the remainders of the world or stoke conflict to further your own personal gain?
