Hrm. How do you think I could pull off Rhyme? I'm not really sure what race he'd fit in... my knee-jerk reaction was Divine, but that's event only and seem less spiritual and more winged and shiny than what I think an angel would be. Fairies can't really pass off as humans for extended periods of time, unless some sort of magic allows the fairy to become a human for Rhyme's backstory? And I'm a bit confused on how powers are limited. Could also make a new race but not sure...

In Setsunai, could a youkai transform into a human and forget that they were a youkai? Or maybe a kami could work better, although that might be too strong... maybe you could see where I'm going here considering my initial description of the character...

Mrmmm... I've had reservations because of how the site's advertised as a soulmate roleplay--- what does it mean to be bound by Fate? Could a Kismet have two true names... or have a fake true name of sorts? Since it's not at the point of his story yet... would that mean I need to write two characters? XD

So I guess the Shrine of Ability is the only way for a character to have magic or something?

Been toying around with the idea of a Pokemon world where humans had the ability to mimic Pokemon moves, either through studying like kung fu masters or establishing a pact with certain legendary Pokemon. Although that might not exactly mesh well with the system you seem to be developing.

Either way, this looks interesting. Although I'm not all too sure about the Gacha part, I usually just want to have the Pokemon I prefer and then have fun with them XD
