Every single one of those ideas sound so charming to me, especially the low-fantasy slice of life one and the zelda one. I'm late to the hype and haven't played breath of the wild or tears of the kingdom but a zelda rp in general would be fun!

wowee, didn't know interest checks existed until now!! this'll be helpful for a concept I have.

i'm working on a Ghibli-inspired whimsical fantasy roleplay with a feel-good vibe to it, one that you could play as melancholy or joyous. members would get almost unlimited creative freedom with their characters in terms of species, abilities, hometown, etc; all in all trying to stray away from complex species lists and world-building lore. while this in itself isn't bad, I plan to have a complex world, I feel as if with a numerous amount of fantasy sites there's so many rules and mechanics that it loses its fantastical feeling. species would be treated more like a claim than a set amount.

with the plot, so far i've come up with this: there are doors on Earth that leads to a mysterious new island (or just another world) that's populated with thousands with curious creatures. that live peacefully together. humans begin to leak through these doors and onto the island; some with good intentions, some bad. the main concept of the roleplay is how the players handle the peace, making tensions rise or maintaining it.

there'd probably be a couple canon human organizations planning to do harm to the island, some to do good, just as a way to spice things up and add flavor, and also to give somewhat of a guideline for members to make their characters if they feel like it. of course, nothing's set in stone, but i've already got this idea in the works and I'd love to know who's interested!

...also on another note with all the infection talk, i've noticed there's been a My Little Pony infection AU trend going on, if that got turned into an RP that would be... interestingly fun??? maybe?! lol

Hey there! I'm Ray if you don't know me, been lurking around here for a bit~

I'm looking for another site to RP on! Currently I'm only on one; I have multiple years of RP experience under my belt under multiple OOC names, but life threw a ton of bricks at me so I stopped for a good long while. But I've been back for a good half-a-year or so, and I'm ready to broaden my horizons.

Usually I'm not too picky when it comes to kinds of roleplays I like and dislike, but here's the general gist of it.

I like:
- Slice of Life RPs
- Powers/Superhero RPs
- Supernatural in the Ghibli wonderous sense, not scary supernatural
- Magical Realism RPs (in between slice of life & powers/magic)
- Aesthetically Pleasing Skins
- ONLY ProBoards (sorry Jcink)
- I've barely dabbled in Pokemon RPs before, but I'm interested in giving it a try
- Fandom RPs if I've heard of it
- Both Real Life & Animanga face claims! I'm not picky

I do not like:
- Horror RPs/Scary Supernatural RPs
- Crime/Gang RPs (most of the time, there are a couple exceptions)
- 18+/mature sites
- Panfandom RPs, I don't like the overlap of multiple
- Extremely complicated Fantasy RPs with multiple species and way too many must-reads
- word counts over ~250+

I just started "The Magicians" and it is possibly one of the greatest shows I've ever seen, at least with season 1. I started season 2 and it isn't as good so far, but still great. I'm honestly impressed.

I have some wild childhood beliefs, whether my parents told me or I just heard it from somewhere. I have a couple funny ones that I'd like to share.

- I was told that if you don't eat your vegetables first at dinner, your stomach won't be able to digest it. I don't believe this anymore, but I still eat vegetables first at dinner (if any).

- I legit thought carrots gave you night vision. 7 Year old me was extremely devastated when they figured out it wasn't true.

- I thought the LA in "LA Fitness" was literally pronounced as "la," not as separate letters. I was laughed at a lot for that.

- I thought Canada was just another state in the US for a loooong while. Glad that got cleared up.

- I would think that every live action movie was some kind of documentary, and the events that happened really did happen. When I saw the actors/actresses in different movies, I had a bit of a crisis.

Those are just some of the funnier ones. I was a pretty stupid kid, lmao.
