yes, I saw the thread called solo admin question but it didn't really cover some of the questions I have.

  • should I have a char in every group for maximal plot potential (and as an example for each group?)
  • how much info is too much or too little, bc I'm struggling with how much to include or exclude (I just have too many ideas!)
  • would it be strange to hire a staffy that primarily is in charge of the discord while I still learn the ropes? (I have been IN discord servers but never run one before) it could be a temp position if somebody didn't want to keep the job
  • setting up archives, do I have subs for all the different forums or just dump them all in one archive forum when they're done?
  • what do you expect to see in a shop nowadays?

there's likely more but I appreciate any time and effort if you reply and help a panicking solo admin out!

well that's already a good start because I currently know nothing about discord bots. I have figured out the channels, that seems pretty straightforward. it's funny you say that about the guide because that's what I was searching for when I came across this place. clicked on one thing which led to another thing and now I'm here.

(and thanks for the welcome, it's intimidating coming back into an old/new scene!)

hi I'm ray and I'm an old fart. I've been rping for a while but I dropped out for several years. coming back has been a trip. anyway I need help setting up my site's discord server. I'm not actually sure what's the norm, what kind of bots to use, etc.
