i'm a glutton for punishment. but i miss well thought out shounen battle roleplay sites. (ie; bleach, naruto, dbz, one piece, jjk) :') i also want any of these btw, specifically naruto or jjk!

Ohai. I see Bleach RP I come running! Anyways; here are my thoughts!

Setting: Bleach's style to me encompasses the early to mid 2000's. From it's style, it's setting, and it's feel. It's like the epitome of an urban supernatural fantasy. Cool clothes, cool characters, and cool abilities. I feel it wouldn't fit anywhere but in a modern setting.

Factions: Stringent factions never made sense to me on past Bleach roleplays. Mainly because Aizen, besides him being the villain. Had Shinigami and Arrancar working together. So I like the idea that races can work together or even maybe in some way loosely "get along" in some instances. Hyper focused groups tend to be annoying simply because I see it causing cliques in and out of character.

Plot Driven Vs Player Driven: Nothing to add here, I agree with you completely.

Conflict: Also agreed!

Combat & Mechanics: Hard stats have scared me off as I got older. Not only am I not roleplaying to do math. I also find it horribly restricting. On the flipside, complete freeform let's creativity but can also be abused. So I agree with mostly freeform but some light mechanics for guidelines.

Progression: I absolutely LOVE feeling like my character is getting stronger! Progression makes my goody good chemicals in my brain go 'brrrrrrr'. It also can be tied to characters own development as a help or even some sort of hindrance. I also agree that if a progression system is good enough, it can replace the hard stat stuff. Which I personally would prefer.

I want something kinda like Overlord, where Players and NPCs from a videogame are transported to a fantasy world. I dunno how it would work, but I'm sure it would be pretty fun!

This feels like mine where I occasionally dream of roleplay sites that don't exist with beautiful skins and i don't even have an artistic bone in my body. so when i wake up i'm excited for all of ten seconds before i realize the site doesn't exist. on the flipside, i also get dreams where the roleplay site's skin is absolutely "my first site complete with banner made in ms paint" usually on forumotion. the brain is just a weird thing. xD

Where are all the KH fans at? Seriously, With KH4 announced we (almost) literally have NO excuse not to have one! And even better you can make it in a brand new universe with whatever (non) Disney worlds you want now! You can just throw canons/ocs into the world of Unreality/Fiction and call it a day! It's lowkey a "afterlife" setting but also "real world-esque" setting with Heartless, Keyblades, and magic, thrown in the mix! You can do so much with this! Be creative! Go wild! have fun! Make it a straight up AU with no canon plot holding it down! Please, I've wanted a new KH site for so long! ;w;

a Final Fantasy Panfandom with canons and ocs set in an original world/setting that characters are isekai'd into from any point in their original games. i miss those kinda sites! i only know one that's still semi active. so i'd love to see more of em!
