As I go through today and everyone's hormonal or high off their booty, I just want to wrap myself up in blankets with hot chocolate and stab anyone who comes through my door.

Sure - so basically, we live in an old as sin house. So, the circuit breaker (fuse box) is upside down and not everything is labeled correctly. So, someone used the blender and it flipped the switch in the kitchen. The kitchen switch isn't labelled so they were messing around since the switch didn't actually flip to the off position cause it's old. We have one switch that is unoccupied so they turned that one back off, but they didn't realize they turned off the hot water heater, not the one that was actually unoccupied.

So - we've correctly labeled them now so I hope it doesn't happen again, lol.

It was just - they both thought /I/ was in there so I would have known or something. I was on the other side of the house when they were flipping switches, I had no idea.

but no seriously I have a bunch of gifs - I need to use them. In other news, my husband and mother were flipping out last night cause our hot water wasn't working. Mom's like near tears and husband is like pissed.

I will confess that more than once I have wanted to post in the counting thread the "stop, get some help" gif when you guys are on a roll.

I know this is first world problems. I know that it's dumb. I know it's not at all freaking important in the scheme of things currently.

But god dangit, I really want my store to restock my cookies and cream ice cream, it's my own comfort food - and kittens and kids I am a stress.

Okay - so, I normally feed my cat-brigade around 10/11 at night, just went it's pretty chill, there's no one running around, and they're all safe. Considering 3 black boops and one black and white boop showed up about a few days ago and have shown no sign of decreasing, I must do what I can to make friends with them so when the pound opens back up I can can tnr them.

There were these two girls who were just staring at me as I animatedly talk to several bajillion cats and I'm pretty sure they were judging me, but like, taming the fear out of ACTUALLY feral cats is a really hard task and treating them like they're people and just talking to them gets them used to your voice and pitch and make them feel more homey. I even got one of the black boops to boop my finger before every meal.

I know I'm the cat lady of the neighborhood behind the actually elderly cat lady who is in a wheelchair and tries to shoot people with nerf darts, but like - I hate feeling the stigma of being judged caring for those who can't care for themselves. Y'all silly. These kiddos need help. It's not like they stop needing help because you're a jerk or the apocalypse is happening.
