Don't bid until the last 3-5 minutes of an auction, then spam refresh. It saves you from the price hiking up (and if it ends at an "inconvenient" time, like ending at midnight, you have a higher chance of winning).

someone got it out from under me, but that's fine, i found another copy for cheaper lmaoooo
