an rp based in the world of genshin impact
Would really love this! Have a story in mind and everything!

Just wish we had a visual of those other lands beyond the already established two. T_T
I would join this in a heartbeat

I would love to see like an academy kinda thing where its kinda like people are partnered up with a pokemon partner and are able to do like missions and events that change every once and a while. You could still catch other pokemon and stuff but you get like your main partner pokemon from the start. I guess a little ranger inspired but not totally based on it. Not just limited to one city or place maybe a few cities to explore and if there can be a more freeform battle system, not stat based something cool like that would be even better.

Just curious if anyone else is interested in this?

Apocalyptic slice of life (not zombies or monsters) something focused on character interactions and surviving with a focus on people just trying to survive. (Scavenging, hunting, taming animals) but without all the need for mechanics. Maybe sickness wiped out a huge chunk of the world or maybe kinda like a spore scenario thats affecting the air?? Society trying to revive itself.

Just something where there isn't a bunch of mechanics to worry over and is more casual. Just a thought.

Apocalyptic slice of life?? I just like the idea of maybe something wiped out a lot of people and theres no real overarching enemy but just focused on people trying to rebuild, scavenging food together and just exploring the wilderness. But no level of threat or if there is its just like.. a sickness so theres no need for fighting mechanics etc. Mostly just focus on being a casual roleplay.

Idk i was playing zelda botw and i just love riding my horse in open fields and scavenging for food thought ooh that would be a cool roleplay to see.

Staffing makes me nervous if I'm alone. I honesty have a lot of staffing experience from back in the day but these days I'm way too nervous to start a site alone or to head one in general. It just seems so daunting and especially because you don't have that friend there to bounce ideas off of. I genuinely enjoy staffing but I usually prefer co-owning or being an underling to the head admin.

Yeah that's a great point Light! I think you can do slice of life on pretty much any site. I wonder what's the distinct difference between a site labelled slice of life oppose to one that isn't. Is it the events that pose some threats to people that makes it different or something else? You really brought up a great point! :)
i think it's if there's more coffee shop threads than fight threads, then it's a slice of life site idk

I think the way I judge if a site is slice of life is if I feel like the overarching plot effects my character. This can also be in conjunction with events. Albeit you could say it is subjective because some slice of life sites do have plots but I think the environment or plot is sort of the big effector there. If the plot is actiony then I stop to maybe consider it may be less slice of life and more of a blend of that and action? Its kinda hard to know where the line starts when a lot of slice of lifes can also have plots that bring in more interest.
