Is that really happening? I'm finding conflicting info googling it. I follow so many great artists and taobao guide blogs, I'd hate for it to actually disappear.  And on my birthday no less.

i mean, support has clarified that erotica and art will be fine (they're apparently going after the porn blogs) but. since they're gonna be using a lot of automated protocols, who knows how accurate that's gonna be.

i'm more disappointed that it decided to take down a significant portion of the rp community right when i'm in the mood to go back to some of my blogs. yes i'm that desperate for content for some of my ships sue me.

I don't want to dig too heavily into it, but I flat out don't trust Tumblr with their banning protocols since the last time something like this happened they ended up flagging a ton of LGBT+ content as NSFW, on top of their general inability to deal with other growing issues (for example, i'm willing to bet money this won't even dent the porn bot issue...)

Its just sad to me that its come to this and realizing I have no faith, and yet also no good alternative site to go to. Twitter/Pillowfort don't scratch the same itch.

honestly, i don't trust it either since my take away from that is that they're not gonna allow sexual content in any form, so even with the erotica exception and the nude artwork exception, i definitely am getting the feeling that they're showing an interest in going after more than just the porn bots.

ao3 keeps me satisfied on some content, but i mean. i'm really not sure how much this is gonna ding the rp community on there and my soul is tired and i still haven't found my own place that lets me just. try to live my best rp life bouncing between all my otps for my character on the same platform.

I love how everyone's in mutual agreement that tumblr dying will kill art collecting and easier commissioning. I want to throw in that I will have no place to keep up with the latest memes. But there's plenty of pros to tumblr dying, a couple off-hand being a heavy decline in political correctness that is outright ridiculous (i.e.: "here's a post from 2005 from this person, and a list of reasons why anyone who stans them now in 2018 is just as bad as a racist") And a decline in people being misinformed on serious topics. (Believe it or not, a parent making their child go to school isn't abuse.)
